Claims
- 1. A game comprising:
a means for establishing one of a plurality of disasters to be prevented by players of the game; and a means for preventing the established disaster from occurring.
- 2. The game of claim 1, wherein the means for establishing the type of disaster comprises a plurality of a first type of playing cards, each of the cards identifying one of a plurality of disasters.
- 3. The game of claim 2, wherein the means for preventing the disaster from occurring comprises a plurality of a second type of playing cards.
- 4. The game of claim 3, wherein each of the second type of playing cards bears a plurality of indications of solutions, each said indication of a solution corresponding to one of the plurality of disasters.
- 5. The game of claim 4, wherein each of the second type of playing cards bears a number of the indications of solutions which is fewer than a number of the plurality of disasters.
- 6. The game of claim 5, wherein each of the second type of playing cards bears a number of the indications of solutions which is one less than the number of the plurality of disasters.
- 7. A method for playing a game comprising the steps of:
providing an event indicator; providing a plurality of destination indicators; providing a plurality of first paths interconnecting the destination indicators; providing a plurality of player indicators; providing a means for randomly generating game events; in connection with a current player, using the means for randomly generating game events to determine to what extent the current player's player indicator is to be moved along one of the first paths from a present position; and repeating the step of randomly generating game events in sequence in connection with each of the player indicators until the movement of the player indicators provides a solution for an event indicated by the event indicator.
- 8. The method of claim 7, further comprising the steps of:
providing an indicator of a second path; and in the step of randomly generating game events, determining whether and to what extent a current position on the second path is to be modified;
wherein the repeating step is performed until either the solution for the event is provided or the current position on the second path is an end point on the second path.
- 9. The method of claim 8, wherein the means for randomly generating game events comprises a first die and second die, wherein the first die is usable during the step of randomly generating game events to determine to what extent the current player indicator is to be advanced along one of the first paths, the second die being usable to determine the current position on the second path.
- 10. The method of claim 9, wherein the second die is further usable during the step of randomly generating game events to allocate means for enabling the solution to the event.
- 11. The method of claim 10, wherein the means for enabling the solution to the event comprises solution identifiers.
- 12. The method of claim 11, wherein the means for enabling the solution to the event further comprises landing identifiers.
- 13. The method of claim 12, wherein the means for enabling the solution to the event further comprises destination identifiers corresponding to the destination indicators.
- 14. The method of claim 13, wherein the means for enabling the solution to the event further comprises problem identifiers.
- 15. The method of claim 7, further comprising the step of:
providing solution identifiers, landing identifiers, destination identifiers, and problem identifiers;
wherein the step of randomly generating game events may further comprise issuing one of the problem indicators or one of the landing indicators to a player represented by the current player indicator.
- 16. The method of claim 15, wherein in the step of randomly generating game events, if the current player indicator is moved to one of the destination indicators that corresponds to a landing identifier held by the current player, a replacement landing identifier and a solution identifier are issued to the current player.
- 17. The method of claim 16, further comprising the steps of:
providing an indicator of a second path; and in the step of randomly generating game events, determining whether and to what extent a current position on the second path is to be modified;
wherein the repeating step is performed until either the solution for the event is provided or the current position on the second path is an end point on the second path.
- 18. A game comprising:
a game board comprising:
a plurality of destination indicators interconnected by sequentially arranged first indicators a sequential series of second indicators; a plurality of disaster cards; a plurality of solution cards, each of the solution cards having at least one solution corresponding to one of the disaster cards; a plurality of destination cards, each of the destination cards corresponding to one of the destination indicators on the game board; a plurality of landing cards; a plurality of problem cards; a plurality of player identifier pieces; a disaster piece; and at least one die.
- 19. The game of claim 18, wherein the at least one die comprises a first die and a second die, wherein at least one face of the second die comprises an indication to collect one of the problem cards, and at least one die of the second die comprises an indication to collect one of the landing cards.
- 20. The game of claim 19, wherein at least one face of the second die comprises an indication of how the disaster piece is to be moved among the second indicators.
