DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Although the present invention will be described in considerable detail with reference to certain preferred embodiments thereof, however prior to this description, it should be understood that those skilled in the art can easily make changes to the present invention described herein and the same performance as the present invention is obtained. Therefore, it is to be understood that the following description is a general disclosure to those skilled in the art and is not restrictive of the present invention.
Referring to FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, a perspective view and an exploded view of a garbage can of the present invention are respectively shown. In this preferred embodiment, a garbage can 1 of the present invention comprises a can base 2, an outer can body 3 having an upper opening 31 and combined with the can base 2 and with a hole 32 formed on an upper end of the back side of the outer can body 3, an inner can body 4 received in the outer can body 3 and placed on the can base 2 and a plurality of holes 42 formed on predetermined locations of the inner can body 4, a first holding handle 41, with two ends thereof respectively pivotably connected to two opposite sides of the inner can body 4, a cover 5 provided above the outer can body 3 and covering the upper opening 31 of the outer can body 3, a treadle 6 fastened to a lower end of the front side of the outer can body 3; a pivotable connecting element including a first connecting part 7 connected to the cover 5, a second connecting part 8 connected to the outer can body 3 and a pivot 9 connecting the first connecting part 7 and the second connecting part 8, a second holding handle 81 pivotably connected to the second connecting part 8 of the pivotable connecting element, and a link mechanism comprising a pulling rod 10 and a pushing rod 11, wherein the pulling rod 10 passes the hook portion 21, which is a constituting element of a conventional closed type garbage can and the description of the function and purpose is not duplicated herein, of the can base 2, one end of the pulling rod 10 is connected to the lower portion of the treadle 6 and the other end of the pulling rod 10 is connected to one end of the pushing rod 11, a curved portion 111 and an L-shaped portion 112 are formed on the other end of the pushing rod 11 and the curved portion 111 passes through the hole 32 of the outer can body 3 and the L-shaped portion 112 connects the first connecting part 7 of the pivotable connecting element.
When an user steps on the treadle 6, the pulling rod 10 underneath the treadle 6 is downwardly pressed so that the pushing rod 11 is forced to move upward. When the L-shaped portion 112 of the pushing rod 11 upwardly pushes the first connecting part 7, the cover 5 is opened through the first connecting part 7. When the user releases the treadle 6, the pulling rod 10 and the pushing rod 11 return to original positions, such that the cover 5 also returns to the original position and covers the upper opening 31 of the outer can body 3. Moreover, an user can conveniently lift and hold the garbage can 1 by the second holding handle 81 of the second connecting part 8.
When an user would like to put a garbage bag in the inner can body 4, the air within the inner can body 4 can be exhausted out through the plurality of holes 42 formed on the peripheral wall of the inner can body 4, such that the garbage bag can effectively snugly fit the inner peripheral wall of the inner can body 4. In the other hand, when the user would like to take a garbage bag with garbage out of the inner can body 4, the external air can be fed into the inner can body 4 through the plurality of holes 42, a negative pressure will not be generated between the inner can body 4 and the garbage bag such that the garbage bag can be easily taken out by the user.
Please refer to FIG. 3 which is a cross-sectional view along line A-A of FIG. 1 accompanying with FIG. 1, an angle θ contained between the treadle 6 connected to the lower end of the front side of the outer can body 3 and the outer can body 3 is less than 90 degrees. As such, the user can apply less force by stepping on the treadle 6 in order to open the cover 5 by pressing down the pulling rod 10 underneath the treadle 6 for throwing the garbage into the garbage bag.
If waste material which may make a garbage bag broken, such as heavy material or liquid, is in the garbage bag, the user can lift and carry the inner can body 4 by the first holding handle 41 to a garbage collecting place and then pack and drop the garbage bag with waste material such as heavy material or liquid.
Although the present invention has been described in considerable detail with reference to certain preferred embodiments thereof, those skilled in the art can easily understand that all kinds of alterations and changes can be made within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Therefore, the present invention should not be limited to the description of the embodiments contained herein.
