Claims
- 1. A garbage receptacle with incorporated liner compartment for holding a quantity of garbage liners for convenient use comprising:a container having an open upper end, a closed lower end, and a surrounding side wall therebetween; an intermediate sliding shelf disposed within the container upwardly of the closed lower end whereby a storage compartment is formed between the sliding shelf and the closed lower end, the storage compartment being dimensioned for holding a box of garbage liners, wherein the intermediate sliding shelf has a central aperture therethrough, whereby a single liner may be fed through the central aperture to be extended up over the open upper end of the container; an opening in the surrounding side wall of the container, the opening having a top edge, wherein said opening exposes the storage compartment; and tracks positioned on both side of the interior of the compartment below the sliding shelf, said tracks supporting the sliding shelf and allowing the sliding shelf to slide in and out of the compartment through the opening.
- 2. The garbage receptacle with incorporated liner compartment as recited in claim 1, further having a removable access panel hingedly attached to the surrounding side wall of the container for selectively covering the opening in the side wall.
- 3. The garbage receptacle with incorporated liner compartment as recited in claim 2, wherein the opening has an arch positioned on the top edge thereof for allowing the sliding shelf to be slid back into the compartment through the opening with the liner remaining in place within the central aperture.
