FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to garments, specifically to a garment attachment for bust support.

DESCRIPTION OF THE RELATED ART

The following background information may present examples of specific aspects of the prior art (e.g., without limitation, approaches, facts, or common wisdom) that, while expected to be helpful to further educate the reader as to additional aspects of the prior art, is not to be construed as limiting the present invention, or any embodiments thereof, to anything stated or implied therein or inferred thereupon.

The need for bust support has been a long-standing issue for many women. Conventional methods for providing bust support, such as wearing a bra, have been widely used for many years. However, these conventional methods often lead to discomfort and restriction of movement, and can cause friction caused by the garment moving around. Women often face discomfort due to the tight straps, underwires, and band of traditional bras. In addition, wearing a bra can also restrict movement, making it difficult for women to engage in certain physical activities.

Another problem with conventional bust support methods is that they can be difficult to wear for extended periods of time. Women who wear bras for long periods of time may experience pain or discomfort, as well as skin irritation or chafing caused by the rubbing of the garment against the skin. This can be especially problematic for women who have larger busts, as the weight of their busts can put additional pressure on the straps, band, and underwires of the bra

Conventional compression bras typically fasten in the front using a hook and loop fastener that can scratch the skin and fail to provide an easy means for adjusting the amount of pressure exerted on a patient by the bra. An additional problem with the design of conventional compression bras is that a seam is located down the middle of each cup that rubs against the nipple and causes irritation to the patient. An even further problem with conventional bras is the side straps that wrap around the torso press against patients' lymph nodes located under the armpits, an area where incisions are commonly made during breast surgery, thereby causing further discomfort to the patient. Therefore, a need exists for an ergonomic post-operative compression bra that reduces the effects of swelling and bruising commonly experienced after breast surgery while not causing any discomfort normally experienced with conventional post-operative compression bras.

In order to overcome the problems associated with wearing bras for bust support, there have been various alternative solutions developed. For example, some women opt to wear a bra with a wider band or straps to reduce discomfort and irritation. Others choose to wear a bra with a softer underwire or a more flexible material to reduce the restriction of movement. However, these solutions still often leave women with some level of discomfort or restriction. Also, when women get lumpectomy, mastectomy or any breast augmentation, they are left with scars under their bust line that makes it extremely uncomfortable for them to wear bras while these scars are healing, this said top eliminates those discomfort and irritation under-bands and seams.

Therefore, there is a need for a more comfortable and unrestricted method of providing bust support that eliminates many of the problems associated with traditional bras. The present invention is directed to a garment attachment for bust support that provides a solution to these problems. By providing a spongy lightweight material sewn to the front panel of a garment, the garment attachment provides support to the bust of the wearer and lifts the chest by way of compression without the use of elastic or under-band, thereby providing a comfortable and unrestricted solution to the problems associated with traditional bras.

The present invention seeks to eliminate, or at least mitigate, the limitations and disadvantages of such known method, or at least provide an alternative. None of the prior art methods have been found to be completely suitable to meet these needs and are cumbersome. The present invention provides such a method and the overall combination of these features is nowhere disclosed in the prior art cited above which appears to be representative of the general art in this area although it is not intended to be an all-inclusive listing of pertinent prior art patents.

Embodiments of the present disclosure according to FIG. 1 pertain to a garment attachment for use in a garment 1 designed to offer bust support and lift the chest without the use of elastic material or under-band. The garment comprises a front panel 2, in contact with the bust, and a rear panel 3, in contact with the back, that are sewn at the seams 9. FIG. 1a and FIG. 1b show the front and rear panels of the garment, respectively, according to one embodiment of the present invention. The front and rear panels of the garment are sewn or attached at the seams 9, creating a secure seamless lining between the two panels. The front panel is in contact with the bust, and the rear panel is in contact with the back, allowing for comfortable and unrestricted wear. The sewn or attached panels are designed in such a way that armholes are provided to allow the wearer's arms to pass through, enabling the garment to be worn comfortably. The armholes, as shown in FIG. 1, may be double-stitched 7, providing a secure connection between the front and rear panels while still allowing the wearer's arms to pass through. The armholes lead to an arm sleeve 5, allowing for comfortable wear throughout the day. The arm sleeve 5 may have a sleeve hem 6.

In some embodiments, the garment attachment may be sewn or attached to the front panel at the seams and attached by adhesive to the front panel. The garment attachment may also have self-sticking capabilities due to its material of construction. The garment attachment may be double-stitched to the panels, leaving the neck area unencumbered.

The FIG. 2 shows the inner garment comprising the garment attachment as a finished product, demonstrating the secure and comfortable fit of the garment attachment. The bust area at the front panel 2 is sculpted to lift the chest and hold it in place, without the use of elastic material or under-bands. The inner construction of the garment is designed for wearing without a bra, and the design of the bust area is sculpted to lift the chest up and hold it in place, without the use of elastic material or under-band. The garment attachment is made from a spongy lightweight material. Such material may, in some non-limiting aspects, include non-slip silicone or rubber, foam, cloth, spongy materials, or any other spongy material which provides ample support without adding significant weight or bulk to the garment. This makes it ideal for women who need bust support for extended periods of time and allows for a wider range of wardrobe options. The inner garment attachment and the front panel may be sewn to a hem 8 as shown.

In FIG. 3, it is shown that the garment attachment forming an inner lining 10 is stitched to the front panel 2 of the garment, providing secure and comfortable support for the bust. The spongy nature of the material helps to keep the garment attachment securely in place, eliminating the discomfort and friction caused by the garment moving around. This spongy construction may provide more coverage to bust area, as women are no longer restricted by the need to wear a traditional bra. The spongy lightweight material is soft to the touch and provides support without causing friction or discomfort when worn for extended periods of time. The rear panel 3 does not comprise the inner spongy lining.

In some aspect, the spongy garment attachment has higher compression just beneath the bust, less compression at the bust, and may have higher compression above the bust to keep the bust properly supported.

In conclusion, embodiments of the present disclosure provide a unique and effective solution to the problems associated with traditional bras. By offering a spongy lightweight material sewn to the front panel of a garment, the garment attachment provides bust support in a comfortable and unrestricted manner. This makes it an ideal solution for women who need bust support for extended periods of time, and allows for a more versatile wardrobe without sacrificing comfort or support.
