Description of the Related Art

Clothes, made from various materials such as cotton or leather, are essential items required for everyday life. There are various kinds of clothes such as shirts, pants, underwear, overcoats, and so on, and people selectively wear clothes depending on the season or weather. In the past, people wore clothes primarily to protect their bodies, but in modern times people wear clothes to express their beauty in addition to the purpose of protecting their bodies.

Further, textile engineering has also been developed with the development of science and technology. For example, specific materials such as Gore-tex that has not only waterproof and windproof functions, but also breathability are representative of such development. Further, science and technology have been applied to sportswear for athletes, so various products such as e runner uniforms that minimize air resistance, and swimwear that minimizes water resistance have been developed.

When people are out, they often remove and carry their overcoats when necessary, particularly jackets and so on. Casual overcoats can be easily taken off and carried by hand, so it is relatively easy to carry these items. However, overcoats such as suit coats or other coats may be susceptible to wrinkling and soiling, so it is not easy to keep them relative to casual clothes.

On the other hand, recently, casual overcoats and down jackets are now available as “packable jackets.” Such packable jackets have one large pocket or a separate pocket for storing the coat or jacket in a rolled state therein.

However, since these packable jackets are tightly rolled and stored in a small pocket, they become highly wrinkled, so this type of storage is not suitable for suits coats or other coats. Further, when down jackets are tightly rolled, the volume is considerably reduced due to the air therein being removed, but common suit coats or other common coats are not largely reduced in volume even if they are rolled, so there is a limit in storing clothes of this type in an integral garment pocket.

Further, making a large pocket in suit coats or other coats may spoil the entire design thereof, so application of a storage pocket to this type of clothing is inappropriate. In addition, if a separate detachable pocket is provided, it is inconvenient to carry the pocket at all times.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The advantages and features of the present invention, and methods of achieving them will be clear by referring to the exemplary embodiments that will be described hereafter in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described hereafter and may be implemented in various ways, the exemplary embodiments are provided to complete the description of the present invention and let those skilled in the art completely know the scope of the present invention, and the present invention is defined by claims. Like reference numerals indicate like components throughout the specification.

When it is determined that detailed description of well-known functions or configurations may make the spirit of the present invention unclear in the following description, the detailed description will be omitted. Further, the terminologies to be described below are ones defined in consideration of their function in the present invention and may be changed by the intention of a user or an operator or a custom. Therefore, the definitions should be construed based on the contents throughout the specification.

FIGS. 1 to 3D show one embodiment of the present invention. FIG. 1 is a perspective view, FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view, and FIGS. 3A to 3D are views showing an example of using a garment with a storage pocket.

The components and the relationship of the components of a garment 1 with a storage pocket according to an embodiment of the present invention are described hereafter in detail with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3D.

First, referring to FIG. 1, the garment 1 according to the embodiment of the present invention includes an upper part 10 that is made to be worn on an upper body and it may be a suit coat or a coat. Various types of upper garments that can be opened at the front by buttons or a zipper may be included in the garment of the present invention.

Next, referring to FIG. 2, a lining 20 is attached inside the upper part 10. The lining 20 prevents the upper part 10 from coming in direct contact with the skin of a wearer. Further, it is also used to store the upper part 10 in cooperation with a storage pocket 30 to be described below. The lining 20 may be attached to the entire or a portion of the inside of the upper part 10.

That is, if the lining 20 is attached to the back of the upper part 10, it may be attached only to the upper half of the back. Further, though not shown, the lining 20 may be attached throughout the back of the upper part 10.

A storage panel 30 is attached over the lining 20 and stores the upper part 10 in cooperation with the lining 20. The storage panel 30 is attached over the lining 20 corresponding to the back of the upper part 10 and the edge of the storage panel 30 is sewn to the lining 20. Further, a slit 31 is vertically formed at the center of the storage panel.

The storage panel 30 is attached throughout the entire lining 20 attached only to the half of the back and the bottom edge of the storage panel is attached to the bottom end of the lining 20 by piping. Further, though not shown, when the lining 20 is attached throughout the entire back, the storage panel is attached to the upper half of the lining 20 and the bottom edge is sewn to the lining 20.

The slit 31 is formed by cutting the storage panel 30 and both cut edges of the slit 31 are overlapped to prevent the slit 31 from unexpectedly opening. The slit 31 allows the storage panel 30 to be turned inside out through the slit 31. That is, the sides of the lining 20 and the storage panel 30 facing each other are turned inside out through the slit 31 and the upper part 10 can be put inside between them. Though not shown, various types of fasteners may be provided for the slit 31.

That is, a female Velcro tape and a male Velcro tape may be attached to the overlapping portions at the slit 31 so that the slit 31 can be opened/closed by attaching/pulling apart the female and male Velcro tape to/from each other.

Snap fasteners may be provided at the overlapping portions of the slit 31 so that the slit 31 can be opened/closed by fastening/unfastening the snap fasteners.

Further, buttons and button holes may be provided at the overlapping portions of the slit 31 so that the slit 31 can be opened/closed by fastening/unfastening the buttons and button holes.

Further, a zipper may be provided at the overlapping portions of the slit 31 so that the slit 31 can be opened/closed by opening/closing the zipper.

Referring to FIGS. 3A to 3D, a side of the storage panel 30 is turned inside out through the slit 31 and a portion of the upper part 10 is put into a space between the lining 20 and the storage panel 30. Then, the other side of the storage panel 30 is turned inside out and then the upper part 10 is put into the space between the lining 20 and the storage panel 30. That is, the sides of the lining 20 and the storage panel 30 facing each other are turned inside out through the slit 31 and then the upper part 10 is completely put inside between them.

As described above, the garment 1 of the present invention is foamed by attaching the storage panel inside a suit coat or other coats, so the garment 1 can be easily stored and kept.

The above description is just an example and the present invention may be easily modified in various ways by those skilled in the art with departing from the scope of the present invention, so the scope of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments.
