Claims
- 1. A display device comprising:
a tubular light source; a reflective surface adjacent to the light source; and a cover disposed on the light source, wherein the cover has at least one of an arc-shaped and a circular shaped cross section, and is disposed such that a rearward portion of the light source emits light that is reflected off of the reflective surface.
- 2. The display device of claim 1, wherein the light source is interconnected with the reflective surface.
- 3. The display device of claim 1, wherein the reflective surface is diffusely reflective.
- 4. The display device of claim 1, wherein the reflective surface is planar.
- 5. The display device of claim 1, wherein the light source has the shape of a display object.
- 6. The display device of claim 1, wherein the cover is colored.
- 7. The display device of claim 1, wherein the cover includes:
a rearward-facing section facing toward the reflective surface, that is at least one of transparent, translucent and uncolored, and translucent and colored; and a forward-facing section facing away from the reflective surface, that is translucent.
- 8. The display device of claim 1, wherein the cover is coupled to the light source with wire ties.
- 9. The display device of claim 1, wherein the tubular light source is interconnected to the support with tube supports.
- 10. The display device of claim 1, wherein the cover is made from a flexible plastics material such as polyvinyl chloride.
- 11. The display device of claim 1, further comprising a graphic panel that is illuminated by light from the light source.
- 12. The display device of claim 11, wherein the light source forms a border around the graphic panel.
- 13. A method of constructing a display device comprising the steps of:
providing a reflective surface; providing a tubular light source spaced from the reflective surface; providing a tubular extrusion; slitting the tubular extrusion; and placing the tubular extrusion on the tubular light source.
- 14. The method of claim 13, wherein the tubular extrusion is placed on a forward portion of the tubular light source.
