1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates generally to a gas switch, and more particularly to an innovative one which enables at least two continuous ignitions in an ignition stroke.
2. Description of Related Art
The gas switch is generally composed of a main body, a closer set, a knob group and a primer igniter, of which the primer igniter consists of a piezoelectric primer and a collision block flexibly abutted onto the piezoelectric primer. The ignition is activated by turning the knob group, with a toggle set on the shaft lever of the knob group, the collision block is kept apart from the piezoelectric primer; when the knob group is rotated continuously such that the collision block is kept apart from the toggle, the collision block can be reset elastically to impinge on the piezoelectric primer, so that the piezoelectric primer can produce transient high-voltage to spark the gas.
Notwithstanding the currently available gas switch that's used by combining inching switch (or contact switch) with electronic igniter, a gas switch with primer igniter is still used due to its simple construction; conversely, the gas switch with inching switch and electronic igniter is required to reset firstly the knob group and then rotate it again. To resolve such shortcomings, a gas switch with continuous igniter enables continuous ignition by the primer igniter when the gas is neither ignited nor closed (namely, rotate repeatedly the knob group when it is not reset).
Although the prior art permits the ignition by a single rotation of the knob group, if the gas is not ignited one time, the knob group has to be rotated repeatedly when it is not reset, bringing about inconvenience due to more complex structure.
The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a gas switch of simple construction, which enables at least two continuous ignition in an ignition stroke of the rotating knob group, leading to more effective ignition.
The present invention provides a gas switch, which comprises a main body, a closer set, a knob group and a primer igniter; a recessed chamber is set onto inner wall of the main body; a driving part, arranged at one end of the closer set correspondingly to the knob group and extended into the recessed chamber, and consisting of at least two driving portions correspondingly to the hammer of the primer igniter.
The present invention will be more readily understood upon a thoughtful deliberation of the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the accompanying drawings.
Referring firstly to
a main body 12, composed of a shell-like base 22 and a cover 24; the closer set 14 is arranged on the base 22, and the knob group 16 arranged on the cover 24; the primer igniter 18 is set at one side of the cover 24, while a recessed chamber 26 is bent onto the inner wall of the base 22 correspondingly to one end of the closer set 14;
a driving part 19 in a flaky pattern, arranged at one end of the closer set 14 correspondingly to the knob group 16, and provided with a sheet 28; a sleeving hole 30 is set on the sheet 28 for sleeving at one end of the closer set 14; two driving portions 32, 34 in toothed pattern, protruded at an interval from the edge of the sheet 28 and extended into the recessed chamber 26 correspondingly to the hammer 35 of the primer igniter 18; the driving portion contains separately a body 36, and a meshing portion 38 and an oblique sliding portion 40 are formed separately on the flange of the body 36.
Thus, the gas switch 10 of the present invention has the following operating modes, features and efficacies:

Secondly, with the continuous rotation of the driving part 19, the driving portion 34 could also contact and push away the hammer 35; referring to
The gas switch 10 allows the user to turn the knob group 16, and then two driving portions 32, 34 of the driving part 19 are used to push the hammer 35 of the primer igniter 18, such that the primer igniter 18 is permitted for two ignition during a single stroke of the knob group 16, making it more effective as compared with typical gas switch using primer igniter.
It is worthy to note that, the driving portions of the driving part are not limited to aforementioned toothed pattern, and the ignition could be performed by just pushing the hammer of the primer igniter. Secondly, over two driving portions can also be arranged on the flange of the driving part, allowing for at least two ignition during a single stroke of the button set.
To sum up, the gas switch of the present invention featuring simple construction enables at least two continuous ignition in an ignition stroke of the rotating knob group, leading to more effective ignition and higher efficiency.
