Claims
- 1. A gateway apparatus having a function of being connected to a mobile terminal and a function of being connected to a network, comprising:
a modem which makes data communication via the network; an interface which makes data communication with a mobile terminal; and a controller which extracts only data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal from a page which is made public on the network according to a request from the mobile terminal, transmits the extracted data to the mobile terminal and causes the entire page to be stored into a predetermined storage location if an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal.
- 2. The gateway apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said controller receives address information on the network from the mobile terminal, extracts only data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal from a page of the address information, transmits the extracted data to the mobile terminal, and causes the entire page and address information to be stored into a predetermined storage location if an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal.
- 3. The gateway apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said controller extracts only data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal from a page which is made public on the network according to a request from the mobile terminal, transmits the extracted data to the mobile terminal, optimizes the entire page to be accommodated in a preset size and causes the optimized entire page and address information to be stored into a predetermined storage location if an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal.
- 4. The gateway apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said controller receives address information on the network from the mobile terminal, extracts only data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal from a page of the address information, transmits the extracted data to the mobile terminal, optimizes the entire page to be accommodated in a preset size and causes the optimized entire page and address information to be stored into a predetermined storage location if an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal.
- 5. A network system comprising:
a first apparatus having a function of being connected to a mobile terminal and a function of being connected to a network; and a second apparatus capable of making data communication with said first apparatus; wherein said first apparatus includes a modem which makes data communication via the network, an interface which makes data communication with a mobile terminal, and a controller which extracts only data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal from a page which is made public on the network according to a request from the mobile terminal, transmits the extracted data to the mobile terminal and transmits data of the entire page and information indicating a predetermined storage location if an instruction for storage of the page is issued from the mobile terminal, and said second apparatus includes a memory section which stores data of the entire page transmitted from said first apparatus into the storage location specified by said first apparatus.
- 6. The network system according to claim 5, wherein the controller of said first apparatus receives address information on the network from the mobile terminal, extracts only data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal from a page of the address information, transmits the extracted data to the mobile terminal, and transmits data of the entire page and address information to said second apparatus together with information indicating a predetermined storage location if an instruction for storage of the above page is issued from the mobile terminal, and the memory section of said second apparatus stores the data of the entire page and address information transmitted from said first apparatus into the predetermined storage location specified by said first apparatus.
- 7. The network system according to claim 5, wherein the controller of said first apparatus optimizes the entire page to be accommodated in a preset size if an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal and transmits data of the optimized entire page to said second apparatus together with information indicating the predetermined storage location, and the memory section of said second apparatus stores the data of the optimized entire page transmitted from said first apparatus into the predetermined storage location specified by said first apparatus.
- 8. The network system according to claim 5, wherein the controller of said first apparatus receives address information on the network from the mobile terminal, extracts only data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal from a page of the address information, transmits the extracted data to the mobile terminal, optimizes the entire page to be accommodated in a preset size and transmits data of the optimized entire page and the address information together with information indicating the predetermined storage location to said second apparatus if an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal, and the memory section of said second apparatus stores the address information and data of the optimized entire page transmitted from said first apparatus into the predetermined storage location specified by said first apparatus.
- 9. The network system according to claim 5, further comprising an image forming apparatus which is connected to one of said first and second apparatuses;
wherein said image forming apparatus includes an image forming section which reads out data of the entire page stored in the memory section of said second apparatus to form an image on an image forming medium.
- 10. The network system according to claim 6, further comprising an image forming apparatus which is connected to one of said first and second apparatuses;
wherein said image forming apparatus includes an operating section which is operated to select one of a page stored in the memory section of said second apparatus and a present page based on the address information, and an image forming section which reads out data of the entire page stored in said second apparatus to form an image on an image forming medium when the page stored in said second apparatus is selected by the operating section and which reads out address information stored in the memory section of said second apparatus and fetches data of a page of the address information on the network to form an image on an image forming medium when the present page based on the address information stored in said second apparatus is selected by the operating section.
- 11. The network system according to claim 8, further comprising an image forming apparatus which is connected to one of said first and second apparatuses;
wherein said image forming apparatus includes an operating section which is operated to select one of a page stored in the memory section of said second apparatus and a present page based on the address information, and an image forming section which reads out data of the optimized entire page stored in the memory section of said second apparatus to form an image on an image forming medium when data of the page stored in said second apparatus is selected by the operating section and which reads out address information stored in the memory of said second apparatus and fetches data of a page of the address information on the network by use of said first apparatus to form an image of optimized data on an image forming medium when the present page based on the address information stored in said second apparatus is selected by the operating section.
- 12. A data processing method used by a gateway apparatus having a modem connected to a network and an interface which makes data communication with a mobile terminal, comprising:
downloading page data which is made public on the network by use of the modem according to a request from the mobile terminal connected thereto via the interface; extracting only data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal from the page data downloaded in said above step; transmitting the data extracted in said above step to the mobile terminal; and causing data of the entire page to be stored into a predetermined storage location when an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal.
- 13. The data processing method according to claim 12, wherein said step of transmitting the extracted data receives address information on the network from the mobile terminal, extracts only data to be transmitted to the mobile terminal from a page of the address information and transmits the extracted data to the mobile terminal; and said step of storing the data of the entire page causes the entire page and the address information to be stored into a predetermined storage location when an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal.
- 14. The data processing method according to claim 12, wherein said step of storing the data of the entire page includes optimizing the entire page to be accommodated in a preset size when an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal; and storing data of the optimized entire page into a predetermined storage location.
- 15. The data processing method according to claim 13, wherein said step of storing the data of the entire page includes optimizing the entire page to be accommodated in a preset size when an instruction for storage of the entire page is issued from the mobile terminal; and storing data of the optimized entire page into a predetermined storage location.
