Abstract
A glass-door icebox comprises a glass-door assembly having double layer (1, 2) of spaced glass and frame (5), the size of the outer layer (2) of the double spaced glass is larger than that of the inner layer (1), at its back side the outer glass (2) is fastened to the front of the frame (5) with the frame's front being flat-aligned, and the inner glass (1) is fitted in with its periphery embedded within an annular groove of the frame (5).
Description

Technical Field

[0001] The present invention relates to an icebox, more particularly, to a glass-door icebox.

BACKGROUND

[0002] In the prior art, the door assembly of a glass-door icebox is constructed of double-deck glass and its framework, with both the size and the shape of the inner and the outer layer of the double-deck glass being the same, and both the inner and outer layer having an edge-wrapping frame. However, the fitting between glass and the edge frame easily arise chink, dust and condensed water that gathered at the fringe of the edge frame does not be conveniently cleared away, and the outer layer glass surface of the door assembly can not present itself completely, lack of feeling in its entirety.

[0003] In view of shortcomings in the prior art, the object of The present invention is providing a glass-door icebox, wherein the outer glass of the glass-door assembly has no need of edge-wrapping frame without gathering dust and dewing, convenient for cleaning; and the outer glass surface of the glass-door assembly can present itself completely, gaining the feeling in its entirety.

[0004] The object of The present invention is achieved through the implementation of the technology, that a glass-door icebox includes a glass-door assembly consisting of double layer of spaced glass and frame, that is characterized in that the size of the outer layer of the double spaced glass is larger than that of the inner layer, at its back side the outer glass is fastened to the front of the frame with the frame's front being flat-aligned, and the inner glass is fitted in with its periphery embedded within an annular groove of the frame.

DESCRIPTION

[0005] The frame's front is provided with a horizontal flange with the height slightly less than the thick of the outer glass of which the bottom side stands against the horizontal flange. The back of the outer glass is stuck to the frame with the glue bond. The outer glass and the frame are screw-jointed together.

[0006] Advantages and effects of the present invention over the prior art are:

[0007] 1. The size of the outer layer of the double spaced glass is larger than that of the inner layer, at its back side the outer glass is fastened to the front of the frame with the frame's front being flat-aligned, and the inner glass is fitted in with its periphery embedded within an annular groove of the frame. The architecture of the glass-door assembly without the wrapped edge of the outer glass is so a rationalized design that it is not easy to gather dust and to dew, convenient for cleaning; and that the outer glass surface of the glass-door body can present itself completely, gaining the feeling in its entirety;

[0008] 2. The back of the outer glass and the frame are jointed together with glue or/and screw, the frame's front is provided with a horizontal flange with the height slightly less than the thick of the outer glass of which the bottom side stands against the horizontal flange, making fitting the assembly glass convenience and reliable.

BRIEF ILLUSTRATION OF DRAWINGS

FIG. 3 is a schematic view of a section of the horizontal flange at the bottom front of the glass-door frame.

PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0012] The present invention will be now described in detail with reference to the attached drawings.

[0013] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, the glass-door icebox includes a glass-door assembly consisting of double spaced layer glass 1, 2 and frame 5. The inner and outer glass 1, 2 are jointed via an annular support with the periphery is sealed up by glue bond 4. The size of the outer glass 2 is larger than that of the inner glass 1, at its back side the outer glass 2 is glue- or/and screw-fastened to the front of the frame 5 with the front of the frame being flat-aligned, and the inner glass 1 is fitted in with its periphery embedded within an annular groove of the frame 5.

[0014] Referring to FIG. 3, the front of frame 5 is provided with a horizontal flange with the height slightly less than the thick of the outer glass 2 of which the bottom side stands against the horizontal flange.

Claims
