Claims
- 1. Plasma display panel comprising: a pair of substrates facing each other with a discharge space therebetween; transparent electrodes and a dielectric layer covering said transparent electrodes on at least one of said substrates; wherein the main constituent of the transparent electrodes is included in the dielectric layer.
- 2. Plasma display panel according to claim 1, wherein the main constituent of the transparent electrodes includes indium oxide, and said indium oxide is included in the dielectric layer.
- 3. Plasma display panel according to claim 2, wherein the weight ratio of indium oxide with respect to the dielectric layer is 0.1 to 10 wt. %.
- 4. Plasma display panel according to claim 2, wherein the weight ratio of indium oxide with respect to the dielectric layer is 0.5 to 3.0 wt. %.
- 5. Plasma display panel according to claim 1, 2, 3 or 4, wherein the dielectric layer contains any of a low melting point glass whose main constituent is lead oxide, a low melting point glass whose main constituent is bismuth oxide, or a phosphate-based low melting point glass.
- 6. A method of manufacturing a plasma display panel comprising a first substrate on which there are provided a plurality of transparent electrodes and a dielectric layer covering said transparent electrodes and a second substrate facing this first substrate with a discharge space therebetween comprising the steps of: forming a dielectric paste layer including the main constituent of the transparent electrodes and covering the transparent electrodes, on the first substrate formed with the transparent electrodes; and forming a dielectric layer by firing the first substrate on which the dielectric paste layer is formed in a firing atmosphere, thus firing the dielectric paste layer.
- 7. The method of manufacturing a plasma display panel according to claim 6, wherein the dielectric paste layer is formed by high temperature melting of the main constituent of the transparent electrodes and the dielectric material.
- 8. The method of manufacturing a plasma display panel according to claim 6, wherein the dielectric paste layer has admixed with it particles of the main constituent of the transparent electrodes.
- 9. A substrate for an AC type plasma display panel wherein transparent electrodes and a dielectric layer covering said transparent electrodes are provided on the surface of the substrate, wherein the dielectric layer is formed including beforehand the main constituent of the transparent electrodes in sufficient quantity to prevent diffusion of the transparent electrode constituents thereinto.
