Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a kind of cleaning apparatus for daily use, in particular, to a kind of windows wiper which is used for windows cleaning.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PRIOR ART

There are mainly two kinds of traditional windows wipers: One is the window brush which consists of a brush holder and a wiping towel fixed on the brush holder; and the other is a scraping tool with a flexible adhesive tape mainly used for scraping and cleaning the glass, e.g. a Chinese patent CN200998226Y with the title “A Windows wiper” whose patent No. is ZL200720004365.7, and another Chinese patent CN200960089Y with the title “A Hydro-jet Window Brush” whose patent No. is ZL200620108901.3. When cleaning the glass, the wiping towel and the scraping tool with the flexible adhesive tape are used together, with a sprinkling can for spraying water or cleaning fluid equipped.

The apparatus disclosed in the preceding patents only functions in wiping, that is, the operator needs to carry along three tools independent from each other when wiping the glass. It is not only inconvenient but also probable for the operator to forget carrying one of the tools, resulting in low work efficiency.

As an improvement, a glass cleaning tool, with the functions of both scraping and wiping, is therefore invented, e.g. a Chinese patent CN2794409Y with the title “A Double-used Window Brush for Water Draining” whose patent No. is ZL200520101846.0, which comprises a brush holder provided with a structure of hollow middle part. Such structure is the hole for water draining that can be connected to the water source. Two supporting legs are extended from the holder, with a supporting shaft suited by a wiping towel fixed on one and a wiper blade installed on the other. The wiper blade is clamped on the wiper blade seat paralleled with the supporting shaft through the fixation of press blade and supporting legs. The utility model can be connected to the water source with the function of wiping and scraping for convenient use.

During the supporting shaft with a wiping towel is used by the apparatus for cleaning the glass, the brush holder in the hand should be leaned with a certain angle to avoid the interference against the glass by the wiper blade. As the wiping angle between the brush holder and the glass and that between the supporting shaft and the glass are not parallel, the hands will feel uncomfortable. In addition, it is inconvenient and unreasonable to connect any external water pipe and tap for water spraying.

In conclusion, the available glass wiping tools with double uses can be further improved.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

It is an object of the present invention to provide a windows wiper with the functions of scraping and wiping. When these two functions are altered, the angles of the windows wiper can be switched, the windows wiper has equally comfortable operation in each kind of function, and the windows wiper has a reasonable structure design.

For achieving the above stated object, the windows wiper comprises: a base body which is convenient to hold with hands, including a transverse portion and a vertical portion; a wiping board used for fixing a wiping towel, the middle portion of the wiping board rotatably connected with a front end of the transverse portion through a shaft, when the wiping board rotates backward till the upper surface of the transverse portion resisting the bottom of the wiping board, the wiping board appearing to be horizontal; a bottom board disposed under the wiping board, the front end of the bottom board fixed with a scraping bar, when the wiping board rotates backward to be horizontal, the scraping bar extending forward outside of the front edge of the wiping board.

As a preference, the bottom board can move forward and backward relatively to the wiping board, and can be limited under the wiping board in a forward position and a backward position as follows: when the bottom board moves forward relatively to the wiping board and is limited in the forward position, the scraping bar extends forward outside of the front edge of the wiping board; when the bottom board moves backward relatively to the wiping board and is limited in the backward position, the scraping bar retracts backward hiding under the front edge of the wiping board. Accordingly, when the scraping bar is required for scraping the glass, the scraping bar can move forward and be limited in the forward position for extending outside of the front edge of the wiping board; when the wiping towel out of the wiping board is required for wiping the glass, the scraping bar can move backward and be limited in a backward position for making the scraping board retracted. In this way, no interfere will be caused by the scraping bar to the glass when wiping.

As a preference, the wiping board is provided with two C-shaped through holes with their open mouths in the same direction, the two C-shaped through holes are disposed in distance on the left and right sides respectively, and the bottom board is provided with two upward-extended locating columns which respectively pass upward through the corresponding C-shaped through holes and connect with a stopping element, to hang the bottom board below the wiping board; at the same time, each locating columns can glide along the corresponding C-shaped through hole, when each locating column moves to the front portion of the corresponding C-shaped through hole, the scraping bar on the bottom board will extend forward outside of the front edge of the wiping board, when each locating column moves to the rear portion of the corresponding C-shaped through hole, the scraping bar on the bottom board will retract backward hiding under the front edge of the wiping board. Such design is convenient to move and limit the wiping board to a certain position. The wiping board can be pushed during operation. When the locating column is glided along C-shaped trough in the groove in the front or rear portion of the C-shaped through hole, the locating column is warded off by the front and back walls of the C-shaped through hole to complete the position limitation, which is quite convenient and practical.

As a preference, the upper surface of the wiping board is provided with two recesses, the two C-shaped through holes are respectively located on the bottom of each recess, and the two stopping elements are respectively located in each recess. As the stopping elements are hided in the corresponding recess, the stopping elements will not extend out of the upper surface of the wiping board, which ensures that the wiping towel will be jacked up by the stopping elements and the surface of the wiping towel can be kept smooth. The stopping elements can be either locating nuts or rings.

As a preference, a torsional spring is disposed round the shaft which is used to make the wiping board turning backward and being horizontal, when the wiping board is turned forward being vertical, the torsional spring can keep the wiping board stuck to the wiped glass surface all the time. The torsional spring has the following two functions: firstly, the torsional spring can keep the wiping board to the horizontal state, so that the scraping bar can be kept over the scraped glass surface and the scraping bar can scrap and wipe the glass in a more effective way; secondly, the torsional spring can make sure that the wiping board is stuck to the wiped glass surface, so that the wiping towel can wipe the glass more effectively.

As a preference, the middle of the bottom surface of the wiping board is provided with an inserting portion which extends downward, the front end of the transverse portion of the base body is provided with a gap for the inserting portion to insert downward, the inserting portion is pivoted with the base body locating in the gap through the shaft. It is a detail structure of a wiping board rotatably connected with the base body. Such a rotating connection can be either assembled simply, or be achieved by other available ways.

As a preference, one end of the torsional spring is leaned against the bottom surface of the transverse portion and the other end is inserted downward in an inserting hole on the inserting portion. As one end of the torsional spring is inserted into the inserting hole on the inserting portion, the end of the torsional spring can move with the wiping board.

As a preference, the wiping towel surrounds the wiping board, which is convenient to fix the wiping towel on the wiping board.

As a preference, a sprayer is further disposed, and the vertical portion of the base body is fixed on the top of the sprayer. The sprayer is used for providing cleaning fluid or water for the glass without extra connection to water source. In addition, the sprayer can also be used as a grip of the windows wiper for convenient operation.

As a preference, the bottom of the vertical portion on the base body is provided with an annular locating hole which is installed around the mouth of the sprayer and limited by a lid on the mouth of the sprayer. Such design is convenient to make the base body and the sprayer being connected with each other.

Compared with the prior art, in the present invention, the windows wiper is provided with the scraping bar and the wiping board with the fixed wiping towel, which may perform the functions of both scraping and wiping at the same time; in addition, the windows wiper has few portions, thereby resulting in a simple and reasonable structure; when the wiping board is rotated backward to the horizontal state, the wiping board can not be continuously rotated backward after the bottom surface of the wiping board contacts with the upper surface of the transverse portion. When the wiping board is rotated forward to the vertical state, the wiping towel in the wiping board can be used for wiping the wiped glass surface. The vertical portion of the base body can be griped by the operator so that the action direction can be basically parallel with the vertical portion of the base body when using the scraping bar to scrap the glass or using the wiping towel in the wiping board to wipe, thereby resulting in a convenient operation; besides, the wiping board can be rotated against the base body. As the angle between the glass and arms will keep changing during wiping the glass with the wiping towel, the shaft can ensure that the wiping board will keep stuck with the glass, regardless of the angle change of the arms, avoiding tiredness on wrists. If the windows wiper is with the shaft, the wrists should be rotated to keep the wiping board stuck to the glass which will cause tiredness on wrists.

Both ends of the shaft 3 are supported on the walls at both sides of the gap 31. When the wiping board 2 is rotated backward to the horizontal state, the wiping board 2 cannot be continuously rotated backward after the bottom surface of the wiping board 2 is contacted with the upper surface of the transverse portion 11. Therefore, the wiping board 2 will appear to be horizontal when the wiping board 2 is rotated to the bottom surface and suffered from the obstruction of the upper surface of the transverse portion 11.

A torsional spring 7 is installed on the shaft 3 with one end leaned against the bottom surface of the transverse portion 11 and the other end inserted downward into the inserting hole 231 on the inserting portion 23, so as to keep the wiping board 2 rotated backward and contacted with the upper surface of the transverse portion 11 to be horizontal by the action of the torsional spring 7 on the wiping board 2. In this way, the scraping bar can be kept over the wiped glass surface, leading to a more effective way to scrap and wipe the glass. When the wiping board 2 is rotated forward to the vertical state, the torsional spring 7 can keep the wiping board 2 in the state where the wiping board 2 is stuck to the wiped glass surface.

As shown in FIG. 9, the front end of the bottom board 5 is fixed with the scraping bar 4, and provided under the wiping board 2. When the wiping board 2 is rotated backward to the horizontal state, the scraping bar 4 will extend forward to the front edge of the wiping board 2; the bottom board 5 can be moved forward and backward against the wiping board 2 and can be limited under the wiping board 2 in corresponding position. Under the circumstance that the bottom board 5 is limited to a certain position by being moved forward against the wiping board 2, the scraping bar 4 will extend the front edge of the wiping board 2 from the front. Under the circumstance that the bottom board 5 is limited to a certain position by being moved backward against the wiping board 2, the scraping bar 4 will retract backward to the front edge of the wiping board 2.

As shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the wiping board 2 is provided with two C-shaped through holes 21 with their open mouths in the same direction. The two C-shaped through holes 21 are installed on the left and right sides respectively. At the same time, the locating column 51 can be glided along the C-shaped through holes 21. The stopping element 6 can be either the locating nut or ring. When the locating column 51 is glided in the front groove of the C-shaped through hole 21, the scraping bar 4 on the bottom board 5 will extend forward the front edge of the wiping board 2. When the locating column 51 is glided in the back groove of the C-shaped through hole 21, the scraping bar 4 on the bottom board will retract backward to the front edge of the wiping board 2.

The upper surface of the wiping board 2 is provided with two inner recesses 22, where the two C-shaped grooves 21 are located separately on the bottom, and the two stopping elements 6 are located separately in each inner recess 22.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 7, the vertical portion 12 of the base body is fixed on the upper end of the sprayer 8. The lower end of the vertical portion 12 on the base body is provided with an annular bayonet 121 which is installed on the mouth of the sprayer 8 and pressed by the lid 81 for the mouth of the sprayer 8.

Use process of the invention is as follows:

As shown in FIG. 1˜4, when the scraping bar is required to be used for scraping the glass, the bottom board should be moved forward against the wiping board; the locating column 51 should be limited forward and backward to a certain position by being glided in the front recess of the C-shaped through hole 21 to make the scraping bar 4 on bottom board 5 extend forward the front edge of the wiping board 2; and then the glass should be water sprayed with the sprayer. The wiping board 2 will keep rotating backward to the horizontal state under the action of the torsional spring. The sprayer should be held with hands to scrap the glass from top to bottom. The bottom surface of the wiping board 2 cannot be rotated backward due to the contact with the upper surface of the transverse portion 11, so that the glass can be scraped successfully.

As shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, after the scraping is finished, the wiping towel can be used for wiping the glass. The bottom board should be moved backward firstly against the wiping board and the locating column 51 should be limited to a certain position after being glided to the back recess of the C-shaped through hole 21. Then the scraping bar 4 should be retracted backward to the front edge of the wiping board 2 with the wiping board stuck to the glass; the sprayer should be held to be rotated for 90 degrees with the wiping board kept stuck to the wiped glass surface, so that the glass can be wiped successfully.
