Claims
- 1. Globoid worm gears based on basic member gear theory, produced by use of
- a globoid worm generating tool having a surface defined as tooth surfaces on an intermediate gear wholly by two inverted conical surfaces whose semivertical angles .gamma. are 90.degree.<.gamma.<180.degree., and major axes as well as bottoms of the two inverted conical surfaces are coincident with each other so that both tooth surfaces of a worm may be simultaneously generated.
- 2. Globoid worm gears based on basic member gear theory, produced by use of a
- globoid worm generating tool having a surface defined as tooth surfaces on an intermediate gear partially by two inverted conical surfaces whose semivertical angles .gamma. are 90.degree.<.gamma.<180.degree., and major axes as well as bottoms of the two inverted conical surfaces are coincident with each other so that both tooth surfaces of a worm may be simultaneously generated.
