Claims
- 1. A method of glueing articles of the tobacco industry comprising:
- preparing a glue characterized by the fact that at ambient temperature it is in gel form composed mainly of water and gelatine, the gelatine concentration being in the 25-180% range in relation to the water weight, and a minor quantity of plasticizer for the gelatine in aqueous solution, belonging to the food polymers group comprising natural and modified vegetable gums and cellulose ethers, the plasticizer's concentration being within the 0.25-8% range in relation to the weight of the gelatine alone, and being adjusted so that the temperature at which the liquified gel viscosity remains superior to 50 centipoises and becomes lower than 1000 centipoises is within the 40.degree.-70.degree. C. range;
- glueing an article of the tobacco industry with said glue; and
- drying said glue.
- 2. The method according to claim 1 wherein the gelatine concentration is within 30-50 weight percent, the plasticizer concentration is within 0.5 and 4 weight percent and is adjusted so that the temperature at which viscosity of the liquidized gel remains above 70 centipoises and comes below 850 centipoises is within 40.degree.-70.degree. C.
- 3. The method according to claim 1 wherein the plasticizer is sodium alginate.
- 4. The method according to claim 1 wherein said plasticizer is selected from the group consisting of sodium alginate, carragenate, guar gum, gum arabic, acetylated starch, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, and galactomanne methylcellulose.
