Claims
- 1. A glycerin derivative having the following formula (I) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof: ##STR200## where A represents:
- (1) a group of the formula: ##STR201## in which m represents an integer of 0 to 6, and R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 may be the same or different from one another and each represent a hydrogen or a lower alkoxy group wherein at least one of R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 is a lower alkoxy group; or
- (2) a group of the formula: ##STR202## in which p represents an integer of 0 to 6 and R.sup.5 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a cycloalkylalkyl group, an aryl group or an arylalkyl group;
- B represents a lower alkyl group or an arylalkyl group, R.sup.1 represents an acyl group derived from a carboxylic acid,
- n represents an integer of 0 to 3, and
- G represents a group of the formula: ##STR203##
- 2. A glycerin derivative having the formula: ##STR204## wherein A is a group having the formula ##STR205## wherein p represents an integer of 0 to 6 and R.sup.5 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a cycloalkylalkyl group, an aryl group or an arylalkyl group;
- B represents a lower alkyl group or an arylalkyl group;
- R.sup.1 represents an acyl group derived from a carboxylic acid;
- n represents an integer of 0 to 3; and
- G represents a group of the formula ##STR206##
- 3. The glycerin derivative according to claim 2, wherein p is 1 and R.sup.5 is an alkyl having 14 to 22 carbon atoms.
- 4. The glycerin derivative according to claim 2, wherein p is 1, R.sup.5 is alkyl having 14 to 22 carbon atoms, B is methyl, R.sup.1 is o-, m- or p-methoxybenzoyl and n is 1.
- 5. The glycerin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof as claimed in claim 1, wherein said derivative is represented by the following formula: ##STR207##
- 6. A glycerin derivative having the following formula (I) or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof: ##STR208## where A represents:
- (1) a group of the formula: ##STR209## in which m represents an integer of 0 to 6, and R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 may be the same or different from one another and each represent a hydrogen or a lower alkoxy group wherein at least one of R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4 is a lower alkoxy group;
- (2) a group of the formula: ##STR210## in which p represents an integer of 0 to 6 and R.sup.5 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, a cycloalkylalkyl group, an aryl group or an arylalkyl group;
- B represents a lower alkyl group or an arylalkyl group, R.sup.1 represents an acyl group derived from a carboxylic acid,
- n represents an integer of 0 to 3, and
- G represents a group of the formula: ##STR211## wherein R.sup.17 is a lower alkyl and X is a pharmacologically acceptable anion.
- 7. The derivative according to claim 6, wherein X is a halogen.
- 8. The derivative according to claim 6, wherein R.sup.17 is ethyl and X is chlorine.
- 9. A pharmaceutical composition which comprises a therapeutically effective amount of the glycerin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof as defined in claim 1 and a pharmacologically acceptable carrier.
- 10. A method for treating a disease caused by platelet activating factors (PAF), which comprises administering a therapeutically effective amount of the glycerin derivative or a pharmacologically acceptable salt thereof as defined in claim 1 to a human being suffering from said disease.
- 11. The method as claimed in claim 10, in which the disease is one against which PAF receptor antagonist is effective.
- 12. The method as claimed in claim 10, wherein said disease is DIC.
- 13. The method as claimed in claim 10, in which the disease is a shock.
- 14. The method as claimed in claim 13, in which the shock is anaphylactic shock or hemoribatic shock.
- 15. The method as claimed in claim 10, in which the disease is allergic diseases.
