Claims
- 1. A method of inhibiting or reducing leukocyte rolling in a subject in vivo, comprising:
administering to the subject an effective amount of a compound comprising a glycosulfopeptide thereby inhibiting or reducing leukocyte rolling in the subject, the glycosulfide compound comprising the structure: 6wherein C is an O-, N-, S-linking amino acid; X is a linking group comprising at least one amino acid; PEG is a polymeric carrier comprising a polyalkylene glycol; and R is a sialylated, fucosylated, n-acetyllactosamino glycan in O-, N-, or S-linkage to C:
- 2. The method of claim 1 wherein C is serine, threonine, hydroxyproline, hydroxylysine, lysine, tyrosine, methionine, cysteine, asparagine, or glutamine.
- 3. The method of claim 1 wherein the R of the glycosulfopeptide is selected from the group consisting of R1- R15, wherein:
- 4. A composition of matter, comprising:
a glycosulfopeptide compound comprising the structure: 9wherein C is an O-, N-, S-linking amino acid; X is a linking group comprising at least one amino acid; PEG is a polymer carrier comprising a polyalkylene glycol; and R is a sialylated, fucosylated, N-acetyllactosamino glycan in O-, N-, or S-linkage to C; and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
- 5. The composition of matter of claim 4 wherein C of the glycosulfopeptide compound is serine, threonine, hydroxyproline, lysine, hydroxylysine, tyrosine, methionine, cysteine, asparagine or glutamine.
- 6. The composition of matter of claim 4 wherein the R of the glycosulfopeptide is one of R1- R15, wherein:
