Abstract
The “go” bag is a bag, made with recyclable material that has a pair of reinforced apertures on each side of the top rear side of the bag that are 3 inches apart vertically and then 9½ inches apart horizontally along the bag's top back side. The hooks allow the bag to latch and hang from various objects, such as, gates, fences, or doors. The dimensions of the bag allow for it to naturally hang open and allow for convenient disposal or storage of various items. Within the seam along the opening of the bag, lies a drawstring that makes the bag easy to bind, transport and/or dispose of its contents. There is also a zip-lock seal affixed along the topmost seam of the bag to prevent bugs and pests from disturbing the bag's contents. Yet the bag is pliable and small enough to retain it portability.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

This invention provides a convenient, portable, space efficient and ecologically friendly way to dispose of, transport or store waste or other items.

In this green era, people want to have bags that have greater functionality than the typical plastic bag. College kids have small dorm rooms, but with the ‘go’ bag, they instantly have a space efficient means to store clothes or linen on their closet doors. Similarly, porch cookouts are cramped by definition and it is extremely cumbersome to have a large trash can out, or worse, have to continually change the garbage bags for small receptacles. The ‘go’ bag is also useful for minor tasks such as cleaning up around the yard. Now people have a space efficient item that makes clean up easy.

The ‘go’ bag can also be taken on the ‘go’. It is a perfect way to ensure there is a receptacle close to the cookout plot at the neighborhood park, tailgating event or any other impromptu gathering where garbage cans aren't really accessible.

Even on a larger scale, the ‘go’ bag is invaluable. The loops on the bag can be used to latch to gates and fences to create more available receptacles in neighborhoods or parks for pedestrians to deposit their refuse. The subsequent decrease in littering will help maintain the aesthetic beauty of parks and neighborhoods. More importantly, ‘go’ bags can be used for major neighborhood and park cleaning projects to help reestablish neighborhoods.

Besides being recyclable, the ‘go’ can also serve as a reusable container. It can hang over a door as a laundry basket or be used by the resident grill-master to store all his or her trusty grilling items in one place.

Whether the ‘go’ bag is used to store goods or waste, there is a universal need for bags that keep pests out, are highly portable and easy. The ‘go’ bag serves all these functions as well. The drawstring allows for quick binding by providing ready made handles to transport the bag whenever and wherever. For those instances where it's imperative to ensure that nothing, including air, enters the bag, there is an air tight seal to keep the bag pest free.

In addition to the portability, the ‘go’ bag can be utilized in sites where receptacles are needed but not normally seen, whether it be construction sites, little league baseball games, or along fences or gates during festivals or parades. The reinforced apertures on the top of the taller, back side of the bag allow for various sized loops to weave through the bag and conveniently hang onto almost any horizontal surface.

Bags are typically made of lightweight plastic. Their composition makes them easily breakable and far from reusable. Conversely, the ‘go’ bag is made of significantly thicker, recyclable 3 mil plastic. This makes the bag sturdier, which in turn makes it more that just a recyclable throw away bag, it makes it legitimately reusable.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION

The present invention comprises a bag with a pair of apertures that allow for loops to be integrated so that the ‘go’ bag can hang on horizontal surfaces. Pressure on the loops is diffracted as the bag lays against the corresponding horizontal surfaces ‘vertical surface’ The ‘go’ bag's ability to hang on various surfaces adds to the space efficiency of the item as it can be used in almost any occasion while using as little room as possible. Moreover, it is easy to use. The dimensions of the bag ensure that it remains in a convenient, open position and the drawstring along the seam of the bag's opening makes it easy to transport. Further, the ‘go’ bag folds easily, thus giving it the portability of conventional bags but the utility of large receptacles.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an angled perspective of the ‘go’ bags that illustrates how the bags' loops allow it to hang over gates;

FIG. 2 is a rear view of the ‘go’ bag that shows how it drapes when hung and how the bags' structure allows the bag to lay against surfaces and diffract pressure from apertures that house the loops;

FIG. 3 is a bird's eye view that depicts how the go bag retains it's open position because of the natural hang that results from the taller back side and the rectangular base;

FIG. 4 is a diagram of how the bag binds when the drawstring is used after the bag is removed from its hanging posture;

FIG. 5 is a diagram of how the bag zip-locks, with the taller flap collapsing to allow the bag to seal shut after the bag is removed from its hanging posture.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

The perspective of FIG. 1 shows that the ‘go’ bag is to generally have a rectangular base that is 20 inches long and 8 inches wide. The front (shorter) side of the bag is 15 inches tall and the rear (taller) side is 20 inches tall.

The rear view of FIG. 2 spotlights the integral aperture, two on each side of the bag's top rear side. The apertures are triple reinforced by 6 mil plastic to provide the maximum support. The apertures are 1½ mm in diameter so that multiple types of loops and hanging apparatus' can weave into the bag so that the bag can hang on nearly every type of horizontal surface.

The bird's eye view of FIG. 3 demonstrates the breadth of the bag's natural opening when the bag is hung properly. When hanging, the ‘go’ bag's fairly wide 8 inch rectangular base and the shorter front side lets the bag naturally hang open to a near-full 8¾ square inches of opening.

The drawstring function illustrated in FIG. 4 shows how the top of the bag bunches, pulling the short side up to the taller side to make the rectangular base soften and give the bag the appearance of a normal bag, aiding in the transport of filled bags from one place to another.

The zip-lock function depicted in FIG. 5 illustrates how the top flap folds and the side extends outward to create the 2 dimensional plane necessary for the bag to be zip-locked along the 18-inch snap seams.

The bag is composed of amalgamated 3 mil recyclable plastic to ensure the bags sturdiness. The flaps along the base are reinforced by cross seared 3 mil to maintain the bags integrity after heavy use.

Though the present invention is represented with the preferred embodiment as the focus, the inventor reserves the right to make changes and modification without departing from and intended scope and the spirit of the claims.

Claims
  • 1. A bag with reinforced apertures that allow for looped hooks to interweave through the apertures and latch onto various horizontal surfaces that, when hung, have dimensions that provide a natural opening and for the convenient disposal of waste or storage of items and materials comprising: (a) a rectangular base that is reinforced with heavy duty fusion to ensure that the bag retains its shape when hung;(b) a pair of reinforced apertures on the taller back side of the bag's opening where the looped hooks can be inserted and wrapped around an object to provide vertical support for the bag;(c) a drawstring integrated into the seam along the opening of the bag to ensure that the bag binds simply to make full bags easier to dispose of or transport;(d) a zip-lock along the rim of the bag's opening to create an air-tight seal to prevent bugs and pests from infiltrating it;(e) a highly portable bag made of recyclable materials that is pliable enough to fold into a small rectangle and carry or store anywhere.
