The present invention generally relates to golf aids. More specifically, the present invention relates to a multi-functional golf accessory to assist golfers for improving playability.
Golf is a popular sport, in which the players use golf clubs to hit the golf balls into a series of holes by a fewest possible number of strokes. Golf is played on a large open field consisting of 18 holes, usually called as a golf course. Each player takes their turn to hit the ball as far as possible to a specially prepared area surrounding the holes. The area surrounding the holes are referred as green. Once the golf ball is hit into the green, the players roll the ball into the holes. The players that complete all the holes in the fewest strokes wins the game.
Golfers require a variety of different tools for playing the game, such as a golf tee, divot tools, and golf ball position marker. A golf tee is a small stand to elevate the ball off the ground prior to hitting the golf ball with the golf club. A golf ball position marker is an object for marking the position of a golf ball on the green. The players often mark the position of their ball to temporarily remove it from the line of play. A divot tool is used to repair the divots created in the turf when the golf ball strikes the ground as they land. The divots are repaired using the divot tools to avoid further damage to the turf.
Typically, the players carry each of these individual tools in their pockets. However, carrying all these tools in the pocket causes discomfort. Also, these golf tools are very small items and there is a chance to lose or misplace these tools. Few existing patent applications attempt to address the problems cited in the background as prior art over the presently disclosed subject matter and are explained as follows.
U.S. Pat. No. 6,889,828B2 assigned to Denton C. Pursely, entitled “Pocket caddy for carrying golf items” discloses a golf accessory caddy that includes a pouch configured to receive a divot tool. The prongs of the divot tool extend outward from the bottom of the pouch, which enables to use the divot tool without removing the divot tool from the pouch. An inner compartment of the pouch is configured to receive and store a golf ball marker, which is accessed by manipulating a closure provided in the pouch.
U.S. Pat. No. 11,547,911B2 assigned to Gary Krauter, entitled “Golf accessory holder” discloses a holder for securing golf accessories. The holder includes a housing having a base and a sidewall. The sidewall extends from the base towards an open face defining a compartment. The compartment is configured to receive a ball divot repair tool. The holder further comprises a divot repair tool fastener to secure the ball divot repair tool in place. However, the prior art devices for carrying golf accessories present deficiencies and inconveniences when in use Further, the devices lack to provide an appealing appearance.
Therefore, there is a need for a golf accessory that overcomes one or more afore-discussed limitations.
The present invention discloses a golf accessory. The golf accessory comprises at least one human figure and one or more golf tools. The golf tools are detachably affixed to the human figure. The golf tools comprise a golf ball position marker, a divot tool and a golf tee.
The human figure comprises a torso member, a head member attached to the torso member, and at least two first limbs that movably extend from the torso member. Each first limb comprises an attachment end portion and a hand end portion. The attachment end portion is pivotally connected to the torso member. The hand end portion comprises a hollow portion configured to receive and detachably retain the golf tee. The head member is shaped and ornamented to substantially resemble a golf ball. The head member comprises at least one first recess formed at a top portion of the head member. The first recess is configured to securely receive the ball position marker. The torso member comprises at least one second recess configured to securely receive the divot tool. In one embodiment the divot tool is formed as a part of a clothing article of the human figure.
The golf accessory further comprises a magnetic assembly to detachably attach the golf tool to the human figure. In one embodiment, the golf accessory is made of plastic material. In another embodiment, the golf material is made of vinyl material.
