Claims
- 1. A golf ball marking guide comprising:
first and second body portions, each body portion having opposing front and back ends, and having opposing top and bottom edges, each body portion having a drawing slot positioned between the opposing top and bottom edges and extending at least partially between the front and back ends, each body portion also having a generally spherical concave inner surface; a tab extending from the front of the first body portion, in a direction generally away from the body portion back; another tab extending from the front of the second body portion, in a direction generally away from the body portion back; a connector at the back of the first body portion; and a cooperating connector at the back of the second body portion, the two connectors being coupled, one with the other, whereby the two body portions are aligned with each other, their inner surfaces facing each other and defining a spherical frustum, the two tabs being aligned with each other.
- 2. The golf ball marking guide defined in claim 1, wherein the drawing slot defines a guide whereby a mark is drawn upon a golf ball at a equatorial location.
- 3. The golf ball marking guide defined in claim 2, wherein at least one of the top and bottom edges of at least one of the first and the second body portions defines a guide whereby a mark is drawn upon a golf ball at a non-equatorial location.
- 4. The golf ball marking guide defined in claim 1, wherein at least one of the top and bottom edges of at least one of the first and the second body portions defines a guide whereby a mark is drawn upon a golf ball at a non-equatorial location.
- 5. A golf ball marking guide comprising:
a first body portion, the first body portion having opposing front and back ends, the first body portion having a slot that extends at least partially between the front and back ends, the first body portion having a generally spherical concave inner surface; a first tab, the first tab extending from the front of the first body portion, in a direction generally away from the back of the first body portion; a second body portion, the second body portion having opposing front and back ends, the second body portion having a slot that extends at least partially between the front and back ends, the second body portion having a generally spherical concave inner surface; a second tab, the second tab extending from the front of the second body portion, in a direction generally away from the back of the second body portion; a cooperating connector, the connector interconnecting the back of the first body portion and the back of the second body portion, whereby the first and the second body portions are aligned with each other with their inner surfaces facing each other and defining a spherical frustum.
- 6. The golf ball marking guide defined in claim 5, wherein the connector is selected from a group of hinged, welded, and adhered connectors.
- 7. The golf ball marking guide defined in claim 5, wherein the slot defines a guide whereby a mark is drawn upon a golf ball at an equatorial location.
- 8. The golf ball marking guide defined in claim 7, wherein at least one of the first and the second body portions further includes at least one of a top and a bottom edge that defines a guide whereby a mark is drawn upon a golf ball at a non-equatorial location.
- 9. The golf ball marking guide defined in claim 5, wherein at least one of the first and the second body portions further includes at least one of a top and a bottom edge that defines a guide whereby a mark is drawn upon a golf ball at a non-equatorial.
