Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention

The present invention relates generally to a golf tool, and more particularly to a golf club bag.

2. Description of the Related Art

FIG. 1 shows a conventional golf club bag 1 have a bag member 2 to receive golf clubs and a belt 3 fastened on the bag member 2. Golf player carries the golf club bag 1 on his/her shoulder and walk that makes the player much tired. FIG. 2 shows a golf club cart 4, which has a frame 5 to fix a golf club bag (shown as the dot line) thereon by two belts 5a and 5b, two wheel mounts 5c pivoted on the frame 5 and two wheels 6 pivoted on the wheel mounts 5c respectively. The player just draws the golf club cart 4 to walk. It is inconvenient that the player has to fix and remove the golf club bag on and from the frame 5 before and after the game, and the golf club cart 4 is not easy to be stored. That is why there is fewer players use the golf club cart 4.

FIG. 3 shows another conventional golf club bag 7, which has a bag member 8, a handle 8a on the bag member 8 and two wheels 9 on a bottom of the bag member 8. With the limitation of the width of the bag member 8, a distance between the wheels is too short to stand the bag member 8 on the ground stably, especially in a condition of the bag member 8 being exerted by an external force or wind.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

As shown in FIG. 4 to FIG. 7, a golf club bag 100 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention comprises:

A bag member 10 has a bag 11, a handle 12, a separating device 13, a lid 14, a base 15, a loop 16 and a back plate 17. The bag 11 has two coupling devices 111 on periphery of a top thereof and two concave portion 112 at a bottom thereof (referring to FIG. 11). The handle 12 is fixed at a front side of the bag 11. The separating device 13 is provided in the bag 11 to divide a space of the bag 11. The lid 14 having two coupling devices 141 and a slot 142 is covered on the top of the bag 11 with the coupling devices 141 thereof coupled with the coupling devices 111 of the bag 11 respectively. The base 15 is fixed at a rear side of the bag 11, as shown in FIG. 8 and FIG. 9, having a main member 151 with an axial hole 152, two slots 153, two chambers 154 and a plurality of through holes 155˜159. The axial hole 152 is open at opposite sides of the main member 151, on a sidewall of which the slots 153 are provided, and the through holes 155˜159 are communicated with the chambers 154 respectively. The loop 16 is fixed at the rear side of the bag 11 as well. The back plate 17 is coupled with the bag 11 at the rear side thereof to shield the base 15. Referring to FIG. 11, the back plate 17 has a protrusion 171 to be a coupling member, which is associated with the slot 142 of the lid 14 (referring to FIG. 15).

A transmission device 20 has two gear sets 21, a control bar 22, two racks 23, two frame 24 and two auxiliary bar 25. The gear sets 21 are installed in the chambers 154 of the base 15, each set of which is consisted of three double spur gears 211˜213, as shown in FIG. 7, and pins (not shown) inserted into the through holes 155 to 157 of the base 15 and the gears 211˜213 to pivot the gears 211˜213 on the base 15. Each of the gears 211˜213 have a greater gear portion and a smaller gear portion. The smaller gear portion of the gear 211 is meshed with the greater gear portion of the gear 212, and the smaller gear portion of the gear 212 is meshed with the greater gear portion of the gear 213.

The control bar 22 has an inner tube 221, a handle 222, a button 223 and an outer tube 224. The inner tube 221 is inserted into the loop 16, and the handle 22 is on a top end of the inner tube 221, and the button 223 is on the handle 222 to be operated by user. The outer tube 224 is inserted into the axial hole 152 of the base 15, on a top end of which a ring 225 is provided, as shown in FIG. 6. The major portion of the inner tube 221 is received in the outer tube 224, and the handle 222 is close to the loop 16.

The racks 23 are transversely fixed on the outer tube 224 associated with the slots 153 respectively. The racks 23 are meshed with the greater gear portion of the gear 211.

Each of the frame 24 have a pole 241, an outer gear 242 on an end of the pole 241 and a connector 243. The poles 241 have an aperture 244 at the ends with the outer gears 242 respectively. A pin (not shown) is inserted into the apertures 244 of the poles 241 and the through hole 158 of the base 15 to be fixed to the connector 243. The outer gears 242 are meshed with the smaller gear portions of the gears 213, and the connector 243 is pivoted on ends of the poles 241 opposite to the outer gear 242.

The auxiliary bars 25 have a hole 251 at ends thereof respectively. A pin (not shown) is insert into the holes 251 of the auxiliary bars 25 and the through hole 159 of the base 15 to be fixed to the connector 243. The auxiliary bars 25 are pivoted on the connector 243 with ends thereof opposite to the ends with the hole 251.

As shown in FIG. 6, the golf club bag 100 of the preferred embodiment of the present invention has the control bar 22 not being drawn out and the wheels 30 resting on the bag 11.

As shown in FIG. 10, the button 223 is pressed to draw the inner tube 221 out. The wheels 30 keep resting on the bag 11.

As shown in FIG. 11 to FIG. 13, the inner tube 221 is kept drawn out continuously until the ring 225 is stopped by the loop 16. In the motion of inner tube 221, the racks 23 move the poles 241 and the wheels 30 via the gear sets 21 respectively from a collapsed position P1 (referring to FIG. 6) to an extended position P2 (referring to FIG. 11). The restriction between the wheels 30, the auxiliary bars 25 and the connector 243 makes the wheels 30 keeping upright to the ground, as shown in FIG. 14.

On contrary, the handle 22 is exerted to push the inner tube 221 back into the outer tube 224, as shown in FIG. 6, the wheels 30 are moved back to the concave portions of the bag 11 again.

In conclusion, the golf club bag 100 of the present invention combines the bag with the cart that convenient user to use it. The bag 11 and the wheels 30 touch the ground when the golf club bag 100 of the present invention stands on the ground that provides a stable condition.

Although the invention has been explained in relation to its preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that many other possible modifications and variations can be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
