Claims
- 1. A golf club travel bag comprising:
- a flexible body with a predominantly flat outer surface and an inner region, said inner region adapted to contain a golf bag having a set of golf clubs; and
- an inwardly-extending inset shoe case continuing into said body from said outer surface, said inset shoe case being adjacent the top of the bag and having a top wall, a bottom wall, and an inner back wall, the inner back wall of the inset shoe case having a spike guard sufficiently hard to resist penetration of shoe spikes through the inner back wall.
- 2. The golf bag travel cover of claim 1, wherein said body is generally parallelpiped-shaped.
- 3. The golf bag travel cover of claim 1, wherein said body comprises elongated first and second side panels, and front and rear panels attached to said first and second side panels, said body being generally parallelpiped-shaped.
- 4. The golf club travel cover of claim 3, wherein said rear panel merges into a generally flat bottom portion connected to said front and first and second side panels, and wherein said first side panel forms a generally arcuate top portion with said front and rear panels.
- 5. The golf bag travel cover of claim 3, wherein said side panels and said front and rear panels comprise foam padding.
- 6. The golf bag travel cover of claim 1, wherein the inner back wall of said inset shoe case is coupled to recessed top, bottom, and side walls.
- 7. The golf bag travel cover of claim 1, wherein said inset shoe case further comprises side walls, and wherein said top, bottom, side and inner back walls are interconnected.
- 8. The golf bag travel cover of claim 7, wherein said body further comprises a front panel having cover flap cut thereinto, said cover flap being operably connected to said inset shoe case.
- 9. The golf bag travel cover of claim 1, wherein the body further comprises foam padding interposing a nylon shell and a knit backing.
- 10. The golf bag travel cover of claim 1, wherein the inner back wall gradually recesses further inwardly as the inner back wall extends upwardly.
- 11. A golf club travel bag comprising:
- a flexible body with an arcuate top portion, a predominantly flat outer surface, and an inner region, said inner region adapted to contain a golf bag having a set of golf clubs; and
- an inward-extending inset shoe case continuing into said body from said outer surface, an inner back wall of the inset shoe case being sufficiently hard to resist penetration of shoe spikes into the inner back wall.
- 12. A golf bag travel cover comprising:
- a flexible body having a top, bottom, front, back, and first and second side panels, said back panel terminating at a generally flat bottom portion connected to said front and said first and second side panels, said first side panel forming a generally arcuate top portion with said front, back, and second side panels, said body being generally parallelpiped-shaped and adapted to contain a golf bag having a set of golf clubs; and
- an inset shoe case having an inner back wall sufficiently hard to resist penetration of shoe spikes though said inner back wall, said inset shoe case being recessed into said body.
- 13. The golf bag travel cover of claim 12, further comprising a cover flap cut into said front panel adjacent said inset shoe case.
- 14. The golf bag travel cover of claim 13, wherein said flap has a bottom portion integral with said front panel and top, first side and second side edges operably connected to said front panel.
- 15. The golf bag travel cover of claim 12, further comprising substantially flat outer surface.
- 16. The golf bag travel cover of claim 12, wherein said inner back wall comprises a spike guard.
- 17. The golf bag travel cover of claim 12, wherein said back wall extends further inwardly into said body as said back wall extends upwardly.
- 18. The golf bag travel cover of claim 17, further comprising a cover flap cut into said front panel and operably connected to said inset shoe case.
- 19. The golf bag travel cover of claim 12, wherein said side panels and said front and back panels comprise foam padding.
- 20. The golf bag travel cover of claim 19, wherein the foam padding interposes a durable knit backing and a nylon shell.
- 21. The golf bag travel cover of claim 12, further comprising two wheels operably disposed near said bottom portion.
