The present invention relates to a golf putting device that stabilizes the hands and arms, allowing the bigger muscles of the shoulders to propel the putter back and forward, which allows for more consistent putting.
Putting is more than 45% of the game of Golf. The Golf Putting Aid and Method helps all golfers to become better putters and to lower their scores.
Many Golfers have developed the habit of wedging the putter against their bodies as leverage, to stabilize their swing; however, the PGA is soon implementing a rule that prohibits body contact with the putter. This invention will play an intricate role in the evolution of putting, and in conforming to the new PGA rule.
Briefly, a method and device embodiment of the present invention comprises of wearing a Velcro arm band that connects to a rod, the rod connects to the putters shaft, and that connection keeps the hands quiet throughout the stroke, so that they may feel the length of the stroke for the distance that the ball has to travel to get into the hole. The invention eliminates the need, for some Players, to wedge the putter against their stomach or chest, to achieve stabilization.
This connection may comprise of a rod and an arm band that connects to the putter to enable the larger muscles to move the putter back and forward.
The device may be shortened or lengthened to accommodate the height of the golfer, making it suitable for both children and adult golfers.
In such an arrangement the putting aid becomes a universal tool for putting. Preferably this connection provided by the rod and the arm band, provides a secure connection to eliminate the smaller muscles of the hands, from over powering the putter face.
