Claims
- 1. A golfer's head movement monitor device comprising support means for supporting a golf ball in a position to be hit forwardly by a golfer in a given direction, and generating means for generating two separate narrow beams of light which are visible to the golfer when he has taken his stance to hit the golf ball, said beams of light being angularly related to one another and being disposed rearwardly of said position.
- 2. A device as defined in claim 1 wherein one of said beams extends substantially perpendicular to said given direction.
- 3. A device as defined in claim I wherein one of said beams is generally aligned with said given direction.
- 4. A device as defined in claim i wherein a first one of said beams extends substantially perpendicular to said given direction, the other of said beams being generally aligned with said given direction and being disposed rearwardly of said first one of said beams.
- 5. A device as defined in claim 1 including means for adjusting the width of each of the light beams.
- 6. A device as defined in claim i including means for adjusting the position of said generating means to accommodate golfers of different height.
- 7. A device as defined in claim i including means for adjusting the position of said golf ball support means in accordance with the size and stance of a golfer.
- 8. A golfer's head movement monitor device comprising, support means for supporting a golf ball in a position to be hit forwardly by a golfer in a given direction, light beam generating means disposed rearwardly of said position and including a first pair of spaced plates for generating a first light beam and a second pair of spaced plates for generating a second light beam, said light beams being disposed at an angle to one another, and means for adjusting the space between each pair of spaced plates to adjust the width of the light beam generated between each pair of plates.
- 9. A device as defined in claim 8 wherein said first pair of plates extends substantially perpendicular to said given direction to produce a light beam extending substantially perpendicular to said given direction.
- 10. A device as defined in claim 8 wherein said second pair of plates extends substantially parallel with said given direction to produce a light beam generally aligned with said given direction.
- 11. A device as defined in claim 8 wherein said first pair of plates extends substantially perpendicular to said given direction to produce a light beam extending substantially perpendicular to said given direction, said second pair of plates being disposed rearwardly of said first pair of plates and extending substantially parallel with said given direction to produce a light beam generally aligned with said given direction.
- 12. A device as defined in claim 8 including mounting means for mounting said first and second pairs of plates, and means for rotating said mounting means about an axis generally parallel to said given direction to accommodate golfers of different height.
- 13. A device as defined in claim 8 including means for adjusting the position of said support means toward and away from said plates in a direction generally parallel with said given direction.
- 14. A golfer's head movement monitor device comprising, a housing including a cover adapted to be moved between open and closed positions, support means for supporting a golf ball in a position to be hit forwardly by a golfer in a given direction, said support means being movably mounted on said housing for movement in a direction generally parallel with said given direction, light beam generating means disposed within said housing and including a first pair of spaced plates for generating a first light beam and a second pair of spaced plates for generating a second light beam, said light beams being disposed at an angle to one another, means for adjusting the space between each pair of spaced plates to adjust the width of the light beam generated between each pair of plates, said light beam generating means also including a source of light disposed adjacent to and below said pairs of plates to shine upwardly through the spaces between the pairs of plates to produce said light beams shining in an upward direction, mounting means for mounting said first and second pairs of plates, and means for rotating said mounting means about an axis generally parallel to said given direction to accommodate golfers of different height.
- 15. A device as defined in claim 14 wherein said first pair of plates extends substantially perpendicular to said given direction to produce a light beam extending substantially perpendicular to said given direction.
- 16. A device as defined in claim 14 wherein said second pair of plates extends substantially parallel with said given direction to produce a light beam generally aligned with said given direction.
- 17. A device as defined in claim 14 wherein said first pair of plates extends substantially perpendicular to said given direction to produce a light beam extending substantially perpendicular to said given direction, said second pair of plates being disposed rearwardly of said first pair of plates and extending substantially parallel with said given direction to produce a light beam generally aligned with said given direction.
