The Gravity Resistance Total Body Workout Machine is a personal fitness exercise machine which is designed to be an effective and time-saving option for weight loss, general fitness maintenance and improvement, or pursuit of elite fitness levels, by providing a true total body workout with exceptional overall fitness benefits in a wide range of session durations: from as little as one minute, to five minutes, to fifteen minutes and more.
Traditional personal exercise equipment provides benefits for certain muscle groups during a given workout session. These machines sometimes, though infrequently, also provide benefits for different muscle groups in separate workout sessions. The Gravity Resistance Total Body Workout Machine is designed to provide substantially increased total body muscle utilization in a single workout. This provides for a more efficient, thorough and effective workout while greatly reducing workout time requirements.
The Gravity Resistance Total Body Workout Machine utilizes features of the traditional “exercycle” or “stationary bicycle” but enhances the workout benefits of these machines by dramatically changing the typical “VERTICAL” and “L-SHAPED (recumbent)” body orientations of the user to “HORIZONTAL (face down)” and “45 DEGREE” orientations (see drawings), resulting in a demonstrably more comprehensive “TOTAL BODY” workout.
Gravity is an important factor in this concept. This invention provides the great cardio benefits of traditional machines, but because of its unique body orientations, REQUIRING THAT THE BODY BE SUPPORTED BY THE ARMS DURING CYCLING, the exercise provides instant and dramatic ADDITIONAL muscle utilization requirements.
Significantly, this approach retains (and enhances) the benefit to cardio, calves, thighs, buttocks, and waist, while adding previously unobtainable simultaneous benefit to the back, neck, shoulders, upper arms, forearms, core, grip, and balance.
Because of the drastically different body orientations, there are only four points of contact between the user and the Gravity Resistance Total Body Workout Machine: two feet and two hands (or hands/forearms). There is no seat, so the full body musculature is constantly in a state, of engagement. Its design is simple, featuring the two atypical body orientations and adjustable cycling resistance options, but its efficiency is unmatched.
