Abstract
A grinding assembly includes a motor with a transmission pipe connected thereto and a male connector is connected to the transmission pipe. A spiral pipe is received in the transmission pipe and a steel cable extends through the spiral pipe. A distal end of the steel cable is connected to a driving member which extends through a passage in the male connector. A handle has a female connector which is connected with the male connector. The female connector includes an axle received therein which includes a connection hole defined in a first end thereof. The driving member is engaged with the connection hole. A grinding wheel is connected to a second end of the axle. A bearing is received in the male connector and the driving member extends through the bearing so that when the driving member rotates, the driving member does not contact with an inner periphery of the passage and can be operated at high speed.
Description
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

(1) Field of the Invention

The present invention relates to a grinding assembly with a bearing cooperated with the driving member so as to work at high speed and low heat is generated. The vibration for the grinding assembly is reduced and the term of use for the hose set can be increased.

(2) Description of the Prior Art

A conventional grinding assembly used in grinding sculptures, polishing objects and grinding jewelry is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, and generally includes a motor 1, a transmission pipe 2 connected to the motor 1, a handle 3 which includes a grinder which is driven by the motor 1 via the transmission pipe 2. The motor 1 is connected with a bail 11 and can be hanged on a wall. The transmission pipe 2 includes a plastic outer pipe 21 and a guide pipe 22 is received in the plastic outer pipe 21. The plastic outer pipe 21 includes a plastic pipe 211 and a flexible inner bellow pipe 212 is received in the plastic pipe 211. The guide pipe 22 includes a spiral pipe 221 and a steel cable 222 is received in the spiral pipe 221. The distal end of the steel cable 222 is connected to a driving member 223 which extends through a male connector 23 and is engaged with a connection hole 321 in an axle 32 in a handle 3. The handle 3 includes a female connector 31 with which the male connector 23 is engaged. When the motor 1 is activated, the steel cable 222 drives the driving member 223 which rotates the axle 32 in the handle 3 to grind the object by a grinding member connected to the axle 32.

However, the distal end of the guide pipe 22 is the weakest part of the guide pipe 22 and the driving member 223 generates high frequency of vibration so that the conventional grinding assembly can only be operated at maximum revolution of 1800 rpm. Besides, the driving member 223 is in contact with the inner periphery of the passage in the male connector 23 so that high temperature is generated and the male connector 23 sometimes is broken by the vibration and high temperature. The vibration of the driving member 223 causes the grinding member to be difficult to control so that the conventional grinding assembly cannot be used for precision grinding. Furthermore, the guide pipe 22 might be broken and injure people.

The present invention intends to provide a grinding assembly wherein the driving member is supported by a bearing so that the driving member can operation at high speed without causing too much friction and heat.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a grinding assembly which comprises a motor and a transmission pipe has one end connected to the motor and a male connector is connected to the other end of the transmission pipe. The transmission pipe includes soft hose and a guide pipe which is received in the soft hose. The soft hose includes a plastic outer pipe and an inner bellow pipe is received in the plastic outer pipe. The guide pipe includes a spiral pipe and a steel cable which extends through the spiral pipe. A distal end of the steel cable is connected to a driving member which extends through a passage in the male connector. A handle has a female connector which is connected with the male connector. The female connector includes an axle received therein and the axle includes a connection hole defined in a first end thereof. The driving member is engaged with the connection hole. A grinding wheel is connected to a second end of the axle. A bearing is received in the male connector and the driving member extends through the bearing.

The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

FIG. 1 is an exploded view to show a conventional grinding assembly;

FIG. 2 is a cross sectional view to show the conventional grinding assembly;

FIG. 3 is an exploded view to show the grinding assembly of the present invention;

FIG. 4 is a perspective view to show the grinding assembly of the present invention, and FIG. 5 is a cross sectional view to show the grinding assembly of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

Referring to FIGS. 3 to 5, the grinding assembly of the present invention comprises a motor 4 with a bail 41 connected thereto so that the motor 4 can be hanged on a wall. A transmission pipe 5 has one end connected to the motor 4 and a male connector 53 is connected to the other end of the transmission pipe 5. The male connector 53 includes a passage 531 which includes a first space and a second space. The first space is larger than the second space.

The transmission pipe 5 includes a soft hose 51 and a guide pipe 52 which is received in the soft hose 51, the soft hose 51 includes a plastic outer pipe 511 and an inner bellow pipe 512 received in the plastic outer pipe 511. The guide pipe 52 includes a spiral pipe 521 and a steel cable 522 which extending through the spiral pipe 521. A distal end of the steel cable 522 is connected to a driving member 523 which extends through the passage 531 in the male connector 53. A bearing 532 is received in the first space of the passage 531 of the male connector 53 and the driving member 523 extends through the bearing 532 so that a gap defined between an inner periphery of the passage 531 and the driving member 523.

A handle 6 has a female connector 61 which is connected with the male connector 53. The female connector 61 includes an axle 62 received therein and the axle 62 includes a connection hole 621 defined in a first end thereof. The driving member 523 is engaged with the connection hole 621 so as to drive the axle 62. A grinding wheel is connected to a second end of the axle 62.

The bearing 532 supports the driving member 523 which can be operated at high speed without generating too much vibration. The maximum speed can reach 3000 rpm. A gap is defined between the driving member 523 and the inner periphery of the passage 531 so that no friction causing high heat when operating the grinding assembly. The user holds the handle 6 which does not shake and have high temperature so that the grinding assembly can be used on precision grinding.

While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
