- 12. The guidewire in accordance with claim 11, wherein the third length is equal to the first length.
- 13. The guidewire in accordance with claim 10, wherein the third member includes a coil.
- 14. The guidewire in accordance with claim 13, wherein the coil is attached to the core wire by a solder joint.
- 15. The guide wire in accordance with claim 13, wherein the coil includes platinum.
- 16. The guide wire in accordance with claim 10, wherein a coil extends around a portion of the core wire including the first, second and third radiopaque members.
- 17. A guidewire, comprising:
an elongate core wire; and a first, a second and a third substantially radiopaque members disposed along the core wire, the first radiopaque member having a first length, the second member having a second length and the third member having a third length, the first, second and third members being longitudinally spaced along the core wire at a first spacing distance which is a positive multiple X of the first length, wherein X is not more than three.
- 18. The guidewire in accordance with claim 17, wherein the first spacing distance is a positive multiple X of the second length, wherein X is not more than three.
- 19. The guidewire in accordance with claim 18, wherein the first length, second length and third length are equal.
- 20. The guidewire in accordance with claim 17, wherein the first spacing distance is a positive multiple X of the third length, wherein X is not more than three.
- 21. The guidewire in accordance with claim 20, wherein the first length, second length and third length are equal.
- 22. A guidewire, comprising:
an elongate core wire; and a distal, a first and a second substantially radiopaque members disposed along the core wire, the distal member having a distal length, the first radiopaque member having a first length and the second member having a second length, the distal, first and second members being longitudinally spaced along the core wire at a first spacing distance which is a positive multiple X of the first length, wherein X is not more than three.
- 23. The guidewire in accordance with claim 22, wherein the first spacing distance is a positive multiple X of the second length, wherein X is not more than three.
- 24. The guidewire in accordance with claim 23, wherein the first length is equal to the second length.
- 25. The guidewire in accordance with claim 22, wherein the first member includes a coil.
- 26. The guidewire in accordance with claim 25, wherein the coil is attached to the core wire by a solder joint.
- 27. The guidewire in accordance with claim 25, wherein the coil includes platinum.
- 28. The guidewire in accordance with claim 22, wherein the second member includes a coil.
- 29. The guidewire in accordance with claim 28, wherein the coil is attached to the core wire by a solder joint.
- 30. The guidewire in accordance with claim 28, wherein the coil includes platinum.
- 31. The guidewire in accordance with claim 22, wherein the distal length is equal to the sum of the first spacing and the first length.
- 32. The guidewire in accordance with claim 22, wherein the distal length is equal to the sum of the first spacing and the second length.
- 33. The guidewire in accordance with claim 22, wherein the distal length is equal to the sum of the first spacing and the first length, and the distal length is equal to the sum of the first spacing and the second length.
- 34. The guidewire in accordance with claim 22, wherein the distal member includes a coil.
