Claims
- 1. In a method of hunting wherein a gun is disposed on a windowsill in a shooting house, the improvement comprising sliding a generally cylindrical cushion device over the gun barrel and positioning the cushion device on the gun forearm to reduce noise generation from the gun forearm striking the windowsill.
- 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the cushion device comprises a resilient body, having camouflage on at least on outer surface thereof, and means for securing the body around the gun forearm.
- 3. The method of claim 2, wherein the-means for securing further comprises a band of elastic running along a length of the cylindrical cushion device and interconnecting opposing ends of the resilient body.
- 4. The method of claim 2, wherein the means for securing further comprises fasteners connecting the opposing ends of the resilient body.
- 5. The method of claim 1, wherein the cushion device is an expandable sleeve made of a resilient material and a camouflage material surrounding the resilient material.
- 6. The method of claim 2 wherein the camouflage is a fabric surrounding the resilient body.
- 7. The method of claim 5, wherein the camouflage material is either on the outer surface of the resilient material or is a separate and expandable material surrounding the resilient material.
- 8. The combination of a gun and a generally cylindrical cushion device, the cushion device being expandable to slide over a barrel of the gun and to be positioned around the gun forearm to reduce noise generation from the gun forearm striking a supporting surface such as a windowsill in a shooting house.
- 9. The combination of claim 8, wherein the cushion device comprises a resilient body, having camouflage on at least on outer surface thereof, and means to securing the body around the gun forearm.
- 10. The combination of claim 9, wherein the means for securing further comprises a band of elastic running along a length of the cylindrical cushion device and interconnecting opposing ends of the resilient body.
- 11. The combination of claim 9, wherein the means for securing further comprises fasteners connecting the opposing ends of the resilient body.
- 12. The combination of claim 8, wherein the cushion device is an expandable sleeve made of a resilient material and a camouflage material surrounding the resilient material.
- 13. The combination of claim 9, wherein the camouflage is a fabric surrounding the resilient body.
- 14. The combination of claim 12, wherein the camouflage material is either on the outer surface of the resilient material or is a separate and expandable material surrounding the resilient material.
- 15. A cushion device sized to slip over a gun barrel and surround a gun forearm and comprising a generally resilient cylindrical body having at least a portion thereof covered in camouflage, and being expandable to slide over a gun barrel and surround a gun forearm.
- 16. The device of claim 15, wherein the body has opposing ends connected by one of fasteners, or an elastic material for the expandability.
- 17. The device of claim 15, wherein the body is an expandable resilient sleeve.
- 18. The device of claim 15, wherein the body is made of a foam material.
- 19. The device of claim 15, wherein the camouflage is provided by a material surrounding at least a portion of the cylindrical body or is located on at least a portion of an outer surface of the cylindrical body.
