The present invention relates in general to multipurpose bottles and in particular to gym bottle attachments that come with multiple features and functions and can attach to any gym bottle.
People aspiring to stay fit and healthy, regularly visit fitness centers and gyms. Physical activities require hydration, therefore, it is common to bring a water (liquid) bottle, or a similar fluid container, to the fitness center or gym. Carrying a liquid bottle in a public gym is an issue for most gym users. Most often the bottle is placed on the floor adjacent to the station the user is exercising. Considering that the gym floor is not usually a clean space, the bottle may become contaminated with various bacteria or viruses, transmitting the same to the bottle user. In addition, the bottle located on the floor, may fall over, spilling the fluid contents.
There are other items that are also commonly kept next to the person doing exercise, such as: mobile phones, credit cards, identification cards, public transit cards, gym cards and money. Most people do not wish to leave these items in the locker away from themselves. One may use a backpack or other bags to keep such items, however, they are relatively large to bring inside the gym environment. Some of the smaller items may be carried in one's gym clothes, if possible. But most of the time, the users just leave these items on the floor next to themselves. Again, increasing the chances for the contamination of the item.
The present invention is aimed at addressing the above problem but providing a bottle that securely attaches to various exercise stations. This provides a better method of organizing one's personal belongings in a gym environment in a safe way and prevents contamination of the times.
The present invention discloses gym bottle attachments attachable to the body of any liquid bottle specifically to any gym bottle to be carried to the gym to provide a multipurpose gym bottle. The attachments provide the following key components: a liquid (water) bottle, a cell phone holder portion, a card holder portion and a battery charger to allow a user to better organize personal items. A rigid magnetic attachment system is provided to attach the gym bottle to various parts of the gym equipment in the vision sight of the user.
The gym bottle attachments comprising:
Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a multipurpose solution for people going to gym to keep all of the personal belongings in a single multifunctional bottle system and to better organize their personal belongings.
It is another object of the present invention to provide stand-alone attachments attachable to any fluid bottle to provide a multipurpose bottle.
It is further another object of the present invention to prevent of contamination of the belongings of the users.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a solution to increase the safety of the user's belongings in the gym environment and keep them in their field of vision.
Additionally, some workouts may include the use of a phone for tracking time or viewing instructional videos. Therefore, it is another object of the present invention to prop up and angle a phone in a desirable direction for working out without carrying a separate phone stand or similar support.
Embodiments herein will hereinafter be described in conjunction with the appended drawings provided to illustrate and not to limit the scope of the claims, wherein like designations denote like elements, and in which:
The card holder 20 attachment includes a rigid magnetic attachment system therein which enables to temporarily attach the gym bottle 100 to a metallic structure such as a gym equipment. The card holder attachment 20 is attached to the rear portion 12 of the body 10 and the phone holder 30 is attached to the front portion 14 of the body 10. It is to be understood that the description herein refers to different sides or directions with respect to the cylindrical gym bottle 100.
According to
The connecting structure 33 can be selected from various rotatable and swivel joints such as ball and socket joints that can adjust the position of the mobile phone thereon. Additionally, some workouts may include the use of a phone for tracking time or viewing instructional videos. So, the user can angle the phone in a desirable direction for working out. The connecting structure 33 is rotatably coupled to a magnetic plate 35 to attach to a mobile phone and hold the mobile phone thereon. Various mechanism can be used to secure the phone to the mobile holder 30. A phone magnet may be connected or mounted to a phone with a magnet phone adapter.
The magnet adapter has double-sided glue on its surface so that the phone can be strongly attached to the adapter. The magnet interaction ensures the phone to secure to the magnet plate 35. Alternatively, a separate phone cover may be provided that is modified to include a magnet or a magnetic surface to interact with the magnet plate 35 and secure the phone to the phone plate 35. As still yet another alternative, multiple magnets and magnet covers may be mounted to both the phone holder 30 and the phone to more firmly retain the phone to the phone holder 30.
It should be noted that many phones are composed of aluminum or plastic and therefore require that a ferrous metal or magnet-containing plate be attached to the phone in order to take advantage of the phone holder attachment 30. In one embodiment a steel plate or other ferrous metal is provided, having an adhesive on one side that can be used to adhere to a user's phone and thereby allow for interaction with the magnet plate 35. Alternately, a phone case containing the steel plate can be attached to the phone to allow of interaction with the magnet plate 35.
In addition to the magnet plate 35 other retention mechanisms can be used. For example, the magnet plate 35 may include a Velcro strap that can be tightened over the phone. In another example, the magnet plate 35 may have a depression in the shape of the phone and which the phone may fit into. In another example, the magnet plate 35 may include raised ridges that engage the edges of the phone. In yet another example, the magnet plate 35 may include a clear silicone pocket that the phone 10 can be easily placed into and pulled out of.
According to
The attachment system comprises of strong neodymium magnets 45 and 46 inserted into a set of cavities 26 and 27 on the rear portion 22 of the card holder 20. The cavities 26 and 27 create a housing for the magnets 45 and 46, thereby allowing the magnets to produce a strong magnetic field to retain and secure the gym bottle 100 to a gym equipment 200. The magnets 45 and 46 are inserted into an upper cavity 26 and a lower cavity 27 and secured therein by a set of accompanying magnet caps 47 and 48. In the embodiment shown cavities 26 and 27 are substantially circular recesses made in the thickness of the card holder 20 and substantially sized and shaped to receive disc-shaped magnets 46 and 47. The magnets 45 and 46 are selected from strong magnets being neodymium magnets to secure the bottle to the gym equipment.
One or more magnets can be used to attach the gym bottle 100 to a piece of exercise equipment. In a preferred embodiment, in order to securely affix a gym bottle 100 to a metallic surface, and to minimize side-to-side movement two magnets arranged in a longitudinal plane are utilized. In such arrangement there are at least two contact points at which magnetic pulling is applied. In other embodiments of the invention more than two magnets may be used, for example three or more magnets may be provided substantially in a straight line.
The card holder attachment 20 further provides a flexible attaching portion 25 which provides a double-sided adhesive tape to strongly attach to the rear portion 22 of the card holder 20 which covers the magnets and attachable to the body 10 of the gym bottle 100. The adhesive part 25 is selected from flexible material sized and shaped equal to the card holder 20 to be attachable to the body 10 of a gym bottle 100.
The card holder attachment 20 can be seen best in
