The present invention relates to hair dryer technology and more particularly, to a hair dryer with a function of hair grooming.
When wishing to use a hairpin, hair care product or hair sculpting lotion during the use of a hair dryer and a hairbrush for hair drying and shaping, you must keep your one hand off the hairbrush or hair dryer for picking up the desired item while your other hand is working. The user using the both hands in this manner is likely to cause a rush.
Taiwan Patent M521373 discloses an improved structure of hair dryer. This design of hair dryer provides an air outlet for guiding out induced air for drying hair and a cylindrical wire brush for grooming hair, avoiding the inconvenience of the operation manner of holding the air dryer with one hand and the hairbrush with the other hand.
However, in the aforesaid prior art design, the air outlet is disposed in between the cylindrical wire brush and the housing of the hair dryer. When drying and grooming the hair, the induced airflow can be hindered and weakened by the user's hair and the bristles of the cylindrical wire brush, causing the hair drying and shaping effect to be limited to the area near the air outlet and affecting the hair drying and shaping performance of the hair dryer.
Accordingly, the present applicant believes that this structure must be improved to overcome the shortcomings of this technology.
The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to provide a hair dryer with a function of hair grooming, which enables the generated airflow to be evenly delivered to the hair to dry and shape the focused area.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a hair dryer with a function of hair grooming, which achieves better hair grooming effects.
To achieve these and other objects of the present invention, a hair dryer with a function of hair grooming comprises a hollow air tube having through holes spaced around the periphery thereof, a connector connected to a connecting end portion of the hollow air tube and defining therein a passage in communication with the inside space of the hollow air tube, two holder members respectively mounted in the passage of the connector and the external end portion of the hollow air tube, a cylindrical wire brush including a center rod suspended in the hollow air tube and connected between the two holder members and coarse and fine bristles fastened to the periphery of the center rod and partially inserted through the and protruded over the outer perimeter of the hollow air tube, a heat insulating cap, and a grip connected to the connector and having mounted therein a fan, a fan motor for driving the fan to induce an airflow for flowing into the hollow air tube and then toward the outside via the through holes and a switch for switching on/off the fan motor.
Thus, through the through holes of the hollow air tube, the airflow induced by the fan can be evenly delivered to the focused area of the hair for drying and shaping.
Further, the composition of the center rod, coarse bristles and fine bristles of the cylindrical wire brush enables the hair dryer with a function of hair grooming of the present invention to achieve better hair grooming effects.
Other advantages and features of the present invention will be fully understood by reference to the following specification in conjunction with the accompanying drawings, in which like reference signs denote like components of structure.
Referring to
The hollow air tube 11 has a plurality of through holes 111 cut through the tube wall thereof, a connecting end portion 113 located at one end thereof, and an external end portion 115 located at an opposite end thereof.
The connector 21 is connected to the connecting end portion 113 of the hollow air tube 11, comprising a passage 211 disposed in communication with the internal space of the hollow air tube 11.
One holder member 31 is mounted in the connector 21 inside the passage 211. The other holder member 31 is mounted in the hollow air tube 11 inside the external end portion 115 of the hollow air tube 11.
The cylindrical wire brush 41 comprises center rod 411, a plurality of coarse bristles 413 and a plurality of fine bristles 415. The center rod 411 has the body thereof suspended in the hollow air tube 11 with the two opposite ends thereof respectively fastened to the two holder members 31. The coarse bristles 413 and the fine bristles 415 are fastened to the body of the center rod 411. Further, the coarse bristles 413 and the fine bristles 415 are inserted through the through holes 111 and protruded over the outer surface of the hollow air tube 11 at a predetermined distance. The coarse bristles 413 provide better support for hair grooming and scalp massaging. The fine bristles 415 are adapted for smoothening detailed portions of the hair. Further, the fine bristles 415 are less supportive, avoiding hair damage due to excessive pulling and enabling the hair dryer to achieve better grooming effects.
The heat insulating cap 51 is capped on the external end portion 115 of the hollow air tube 11, preventing the user from scald accidents due to inadvertently touching heated part of the hair dryer.
The grip 61 is connected to the connector 21, having mounted therein a switch 611, a fan 613 and a fan motor 615. The switch 611 is adapted for controlling the operation of the fan motor 615. The fan motor 615 is adapted for rotating the fan 613.
The air current created during rotation of the fan 613 flows through the passage 211 to the inside of the hollow air tube 11, and then toward the outside of the hollow air tube 11 via the through holes 111.
Thus, the hair dryer with a function of hair grooming 10 of the present invention can overcome the disadvantage of hindered and weakened of the prior art, enabling the generated airflow to be evenly delivered to the hair to dry and shape the focused area.
Further, the composition of the center rod 411, coarse bristles 413 and fine bristles 415 of the cylindrical wire brush 41 enables the hair dryer with a function of hair grooming 10 of the present invention to achieve better hair grooming effects.
Further, in order to achieve better performance, the through holes 111 are preferably evenly distributed around the tube wall of the hollow air tube 11, and arranged in multiple rows that are equiangularly spaced around the tube wall of the hollow air tube 11 between the connecting end portion 113 and the external end portion 115 in a staggered manner.
Further, the heat insulating cap 51 has a plurality of air vents 511. The airflow induced by the fan 613 can flow through the air vents 511 toward the outside of the hair dryer. The arrangement of the air vents 511 prevents the problem of reduced airflow diversion due to air disturbance that occurs when the airflow that is continuously induced by the fan 613 to flow into the hollow air tube 11 is partially detained in the hollow air tube 11 and unable to completely flow out of the hollow air tube 11 through the through holes 111.
Further, each holder member 31 comprises a plurality of partition plates 33 and a receptacle 35. The partition plates 33 are connected to the outer perimeter of the receptacle 35, defining a plurality of subspaces 331 around the receptacle 35 for the passing of the airflow that is induced by the fan 613. The center rod 411 has two opposite ends thereof respectively fastened to the receptacles 35 of the two holder members 31.
After explanation of the structure of the present invention, the application of the hair dryer with a function of hair grooming 10 is outlined hereinafter.
In application, the hair dryer with a function of hair grooming 10 is electrically connected to power supply. At this time, the user holds the grip 61 with one single hand, and then switches on the switch 611 to start up the fan motor 615, rotating the fan 613 to induce airflow. Thereafter, the user moves the hair dryer with a function of hair grooming 10 toward the hair to be groomed, and then operate the hair dryer with a function of hair grooming 10 to dry and shape the hair with the coarse bristles 413 and the fine bristles 415 that protrude over the outer perimeter of the hollow air tube 11. After grooming, use the same hand that holds the grip 61 to switch off the switch 611, turning off the fan motor 615 and stopping the fan 613 from rotation, and thus, the hair dryer with a function of hair grooming 10 is returned to the original non-operation status.
