Abstract
A hair piece, or decorative party wig or weave, comprising an underlying lace mesh with pores for attaching tinsel strands, or hair and tinsel strands. The pores comprise circular or hexagon shapes, and at least one strand is attached to each pore using a machine produced or hand sewn knot, or glue. Hexagon pores provide superior ventilation of the scalp. The lace mesh is uniquely shaped, comprising: square; thin rectangle; circular; hollow cylindrical; half oval stretching ear-to-ear; full scalp; T-shaped, triangle: or long rectangular strip. The tinsel strands comprise one or more colors, including glow-in-the-dark. The hair strands comprise real or artificial hair; and a variety of natural or non-natural hair colors. The lace mesh may comprise an overhang onto the scalp without strands, not easily detectable because it is colored matched to the user’s skin tone. The overhang may be cut back to the user’s forehead.
Description
FIELD OF THE DISCLOSURE

This present disclosure relates generally to a hair piece comprising a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands. More specifically, and without limitation, the present disclosure relates to a decorative hair piece including lace mesh with a plurality of tinsel strands and/or tinsel working in concert with hair strands.

BACKGROUND OF THE DISCLOSURE

The prior art discloses hair pieces comprising lace meshes made of thin material with circular pores for attaching artificial or real hair. The meshes may be in a variety of shapes to cover a section (e.g. a middle strip or hair part) or all of the user’s scalp. Normally, The lace mesh is made of white or beige material that blends in with the skin of a Caucasian user.


Existing hair pieces, in the art, are used for presenting a variety of types of traditional hair styles, from professional to casual. However, existing hair pieces in the state of the art, do not offer a non-traditional appearance, e.g. a “party” accessory with non-hair material attached to the lace mesh. Said another way, the current state of the art does not provide for a non-traditional means of hair styling.


Tinsel is a material that is widely used to decorate Christmas trees, but not to be worn on a person’s hair or clothes to display a festive appearance. Utilizing tinsel in a hair piece would teach away from traditional uses of tinsel. As used herein, the term “tinsel” refers to “lametta”, which are the long thin strips of metallic foil (e.g. silver, brass, gold, iridescent or solid colored) that are used to hang from Christmas tree limbs to simulate icicles.


Thus, there is a need in the state of the art for a more transformative, flexible means of styling an individual’s hair to suit their own needs and style. Furthermore, there is a need in the state of the art for the ability to style hair in a nontraditional way. Furthermore, there is a need in the state of the art to meet the hair needs of non-Caucasian individuals. Thus, the present disclosure provides the wig and hairpiece industry with a decorative hair piece comprising non-hair material to present a festive appearance and/or provide flexibility in hair styling in a unique way, such as for social events. Furthermore, the present disclosure provides non-hair material for interspersing with the other hair strands to create a design (e.g. a unique image or hairstyle).


The disclosure herein provides these advantages and others as will become clear from the specification and claims provided.


SUMMARY OF THE DISCLOSURE

The present disclosure provides the state of the art with hair pieces with an underlying lace mesh having hair strands and tinsel strands attached thereto. Furthermore, and in an alternative embodiment, the present disclosure provides the state of the art with tinsel strands to create a non-traditional, colorful hair design. Furthermore, and shown in one example, the lace mesh comprises pores that allow ventilation of the underlying scalp for the user’s comfort and for the health of the natural hair follicles attached to the scalp. In one example, the lace mesh extends onto the user’s exposed skin, being made of material that blends in with the user’s skin tone. The extended lace is trimmed near the user’s hairline so it will blend seamlessly to the user’s scalp. Hair glue and other fixation devices can be applied at the edge of the lace border for a more natural hairline appearance.


Furthermore, the present disclosure provides a variety of embodiments including a variety of lace mesh colors, which can match various and most skin tones so as not to be visible on a user’s skin. Furthermore, other materials are hereby contemplated for use which include variations in material and light reflectance which give varying appearances to the eye such that the material can appear as different colors and blend in with the skin tone of a user.


Thus, the primary object of the present disclosure is to improve upon the state of the art of hair. Said another way, the present disclosure provides a novel synthetic hair and means of hair styling in a unique way which allows individuals to be individuals.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes a lace mesh with hexagonal pore designs for attaching and/or removing hair strands.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes a lace mesh with hexagonal pore designs for attaching and/or removing tinsel strands.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes a lace mesh with hexagonal pore designs for attaching and/or removing hair strands and tinsel strands.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes a lace mesh with circular pore designs for attaching and/or removing hair strands and tinsel strands.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that creates a hair weave.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that is formed in a design familiar to hair specialists providing familiarity of use, such as a hair weave.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that can be attached and/or removed from the head of a user.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that can be attached and/or removed from a wearer.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that can be attached and/or removed to and from the existing hair of a user.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that does not require stitching, gluing, or other attachment means, but can be slipped or glided on and affixed by a frictional fit and/or expandable material with a stretching property.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that includes an outer edge.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that includes an outer edge which prevents fraying along the edges of the apparatus.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes 100% tinsel strands.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes 100% hair strands.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes approximately 1%-99% tinsel strands.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes approximately 10%-80% tinsel strands.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes approximately 20%-70% tinsel strands.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes approximately 30%-60% tinsel strands.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes approximately 40%-50% tinsel strands.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes real hair.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes artificial hair.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that utilizes real and artificial hair.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that include a uniform natural hair color (e.g. blonde, brunette, black, red, etc.).


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that include a plurality of natural hair colors.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that includes an artificial hair color (blue, purple, green, etc.).


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that includes a plurality of artificial hair colors.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that include a combination of a plurality of natural hair colors and a plurality of artificial hair colors.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that include a plurality of tinsel colors and/or a plurality of tinsel colors of natural and/or artificial colors.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that are formed of varying lengths or sizes.


Another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that match the skin tone of a user.


Yet another object of the present disclosure is to provide a hair piece comprising a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use that are configured to be unseen through blending in with existing skin tone and/or existing hair.

System

In the arrangement shown, as one example, a lace mesh, a hair piece with a lace mesh with tinsel and hair strands, a skin tone blending device, and methods of use 10 are presented (also referred to as “lace”, “lace mesh”, “wig system”, “hair system”, “decorative hair system”, “style system”, or simply “system”).


With reference to the figures, various embodiments of the present disclosure are presented which comprise lace meshes with either hair and tinsel strands interspersed and/or just tinsel strands. In some arrangements, as are shown by example, the strands may be isolated to specific areas to create a decorative pattern on the scalp (e.g. at the temples to create a curl, in the shape of an image, etc.) and/or evenly dispersed throughout the scalp. The lace mesh may also be in a variety of shapes, as illustrated in FIGS. 1-7, and 9-10, e.g.: wide rectangular-square (FIGS. 2A, 2B); thin rectangular (e.g. FIGS. 3A, 3B); circular (e.g. FIGS. 4A, 4B); cylindrical (FIGS. 5A, 5B); half oval, or ear-to-ear (FIGS. 6A, 6B); full scalp or T-shaped (FIGS. 7A-7C), Triangle shape (FIGS. 9A, 9B, 9C) or long rectangular strip (FIGS. 10A, 10B) In FIGS. 1-7 and 9-10 strands of tinsel are represented in non-shaded (or grey), thin lines and are interspersed between strands of hair that are represented in dark shaded, thick lines.


The pores or holes within the lace mesh may be in a variety of shapes, e.g. circular, oval, hexagonal (e.g. FIGS. 8, 40), etc. In the arrangement shown, as one example, the pores are sized, shaped, and designed for use with a sewing machine and/or sewing needle for expedited creation and assembly. This type of size, shape, and design of the pores, for an automated sewing machine to quickly attach the hair and tinsel strands. In one example, the plurality of pores are each less than a millimeter in diameter. In another embodiment, the tinsel and hair strands can be attached to the lace mesh by hand using a ventilation needle. However, various needles are hereby contemplated for use.


In one or more embodiments, at least one tinsel and/or hair strand is attached to a pore covering the scalp in the lace mesh using a knot or other attachment means. In one example, as shown herein, a single knot is used. However, other knots and attachment features are also hereby contemplated for use. In one example, a double knot may be used. This may apply when a more durable style is desired. In another example, a single split knot is used on the lace mesh to attach two opposing strands to the same pore. In another example, as shown herein, a double split knot is used for durability and because the knots are less visible than the other knot types. Furthermore, other attachment features and means are hereby contemplated for use and may include knotting, threading, melting, molding, adhering, a combination thereof, or the like.


In the arrangement shown, as one example, the general shape of the lace mesh may be rectangular or the like to fit snugly on the head of a user. However, other shapes of lace meshes and/or arrangement are hereby contemplated for use. Other shapes and/or configurations may include use of tinsel alone, use of tinsel and hair strands, and/or shapes of pores within the lace meshes. Additionally, the tinsel and/or hair strands can be of varying lengths and shapes and volumes, straight or curled to form a wide variety of hair styles.


Furthermore, hair care products (e.g. styling mouse, conditioners, oils, etc.), and hair styling devices (e.g. curlers, non-heat straighteners, etc.) may be used on and/or in cooperation with the present system. For example, most tinsel strands can withstand heat up to 180° C. or 356° F. Other materials outside of tinsel are also hereby contemplated for use that may be able to handle higher temperatures, such as metal, polymers and the like.


With reference to the figures, various embodiments of system 10 are presented.



FIG. 1A illustrates a top plan, close-up view of a part of a lace mesh 10 comprising hexagonal pores (e.g. holes) 12, which are wider than traditional mesh pores, and thus allow more air flow to the scalp, and easier attachment of the tinsel and hair strands to the lace mesh.


Tinsel strands 14 and hair strands 16 are attached to the pores 12, preferable by a machine, or via hand using a ventilation needle. The strands are only attached to extend from a top side 30 of the lace mesh, while the underside is just the lace mesh lying flat. A variety of types of knots 18 well known in the art can be used to attach the strands to the lace. In other embodiments, strands 14, 16 are attached to lace mesh 10 by methods of knotting or industrial glue, etc.



FIG. 1B is an alternative version of FIG. 1A, and comprises only tinsel strands 14 extending from the lace mesh.



FIGS. 2A and 2B illustrate an embodiment of hair piece 2 comprising a substantially square or wide-rectangular shaped lace mesh, with an overhang 22 onto the forehead that is not covered by any strands. The lace mesh 10 may be colored matched to the user’s skin tone. Although overhang 22 does not have a top horizontal border because it could be seen, the remainder of the edges of the lace mesh that are covered by strands 14, 16 do have a border 20 to prevent fraying. Alternative, other devices can be used to prevent fraying, such as stitching or gluing the mesh’s border. Note that in this exemplified version, the ratio of the tinsel strands 14 to the hair strands 16 is about 1:5, or 20% tinsel strands, but any percentage of tinsel strands 14, e.g. 10-100%, is envisioned within the scope.



FIGS. 3A and 3B illustrate an embodiment of a hair piece 2 comprising a thin rectangular shaped lace mesh 10, with an overhang 22 that does not have a top straight border, but does have a border 20 around the curves of the mesh. In an embodiment shown in FIG. 3B, border 20 does not extend to overhang 22 where there are no strands 14, 16. In an alternative embodiment, border 20 extends the length of overhang 22. Again, note that in this exemplified version, the ratio of the tinsel strands 14 to the hair strands 16 is about 1:5, or 20% tinsel strands, but any percentage of tinsel strands 14, e.g. 10-100%, is envisioned within the scope of the present disclosure.



FIGS. 4A and 4B are top and underside plan views of a hair piece 2 comprising a circular lace mesh 10 without a border 20. The mesh’s edge may comprise stitching or glue or other devices to prevent fraying, and a very thin border 20 (not shown). Lace mesh 10 is positioned on the top of a user’s head, thus allowing the strands to fall downward around the user’s face and shoulders. Hence, a circular, borderless mesh can be covered with tinsel strands 14, or tinsel 14 and hair strands 16, that are shaped to provide a wide variety of hairstyles or varying lengths. The lace mesh 10 can be affixed to the user’s natural hair, such as via pins or sewn in (temporarily), or glued (temporarily) to a user’s scalp (e.g. one suffering from hair loss).



FIGS. 5A and 5B illustrate a hair piece 2 comprising a cylindrical lace mesh 10 where the strands 14, 16 attach about the midline 24 of the mesh. The lace mesh 10 is positioned around the user’s head, from the frontal hairline to the nape, like a hair band or ribbon. Thus, the top borderless, circular overhang 22 is positioned to extend over the user’s hairline, and can be cut to the hairline so that it does not show.



FIGS. 6A and 6B illustrate a half oval, or ear-to-ear, lace mesh 10 comprising a curved border 20 that is covered by tinsel 14 and hair strands 16, or 10-100% tinsel strands 14. Note, the overhang 22 is borderless to hide the mesh. In an embodiment, lace mesh 10 is colored matched to the user’s skin tone so that it is virtually undetachable. And, overhang 22 may be cut to the hairline 24 to hide the hair piece 2.



FIG. 7 illustrates an inside-out T-shaped lace mesh. We should call this curved T-shape lace mesh- This view is ear to ear, and a part in the middle of the head lace mesh. (The t-shape mesh creates a seamless natural hairline on the scalp along with a natural looking middle scalp part. Any t-shape lace mesh claimed, for use of with a variety of types of caps, or weave track extensions.



FIGS. 7A-7C display a T-shaped lace mesh that creates a decorative image around the front hairline 24 and middle part 26 , where a plurality of tinsel strands 14, or tinsel and hair strands, extend. FIG. 7A is an inside out view (or underside view), and FIG. 7B is a top plan view of the T-shaped lace mesh comprising tinsel strands 14 that are positioned to make a T-shaped image. FIG. 7C is a front view of a user wearing the T-shaped lace mesh, where colorful tinsel can extend from the lace mesh around the front hairline (ear-to-ear) 24 and along the hair part 26. FIG. 7C also shows the hexagonal pores or holes 12 where the colorful hair or tinsel strands are attached. The strands may be just at the hairline 26 (wherein the excess mesh is cut to the hairline), or the strands can extend down onto the forehead.


It is noted that FIGS. 7A-7C exemplifies one embodiment of a shaped design (T-shaped). Yet, the scope of the present disclosure covers any design that can be created on a user’s head via the hair piece 2 having colorful tinsel strands 14, or colorful tinsel and colorful hair strands 16, being shaped into an image, e.g. a logo, design, letters and/or numbers, etc.



FIG. 8 is an exemplification of a hexagonal pore 12 comprising a lace mesh edge border 8 of extra strong material that is able to withstand chemicals (e.g. shampoos, styling gels, etc.), heat, and manual manipulation, without breaking or being stretched. One or more strands are affixed to each pore 12, such as the exemplified two opposing tinsel strands 14 that are affixed to the same pore 12 using a simple knot 18. Knot 18 can be created using a sewing machine or a ventilated needle 30 that is widely known in the hair styling industry, which is similar to a crochet needle. Alternatively, the strands can be affixed using wig or weave glue.



FIG. 9 illustrates a triangle shape lace mesh. We should call this triangle- shaped lace mesh- This view is eye brow to eye brow, and a part in the middle of the head lace mesh. (The triangle shape mesh creates a seamless natural hairline on the scalp along with a natural looking middle scalp part. Any triangle shaped lace mesh claimed, for use of with a variety of types of caps, or weave track extensions.



FIGS. 9A-9C display a triangle shaped lace mesh that creates a decorative image around the front hairline 24 and middle part 26, where a plurality of tinsel strands 14, or tinsel and hair strands, extend. FIG. 9A is an inside out view (or underside view, bottom), and FIG. 9B is a top plan view of the Triangle shaped lace mesh comprising tinsel strands 14 that are positioned to make a triangle shaped image. FIG. 9C is a front view of a user wearing the triangle shaped lace mesh, where colorful tinsel can extend from the lace mesh around the front hairline (eye brow to eye brow) 24 and along the hair part 26. FIG. 9C also shows the hexagonal pores or holes 12 where the colorful hair or tinsel strands are attached. The strands may be just at the hairline 26 (wherein the excess mesh is cut to the hairline), or the strands can extend down onto the forehead.


It is noted that FIGS. 9A-9C exemplifies one embodiment of a shaped design (Triangle shaped). FIG. 10A is a bottom view, close up view of a hair piece 2 comprising a long rectangular strip lace mesh 10 without borders 20, The lace mesh is positioned to fit around user scalp. The lace mesh can be customized to fit any area around the edge of the scalp. The borderless mesh can be covered with tinsel strands 14, or tinsel 14 and hair strands 16, that are shaped to provide a wide variety of hairstyles or varying lengths.



FIG. 10B is a top, outside view, close up view of a hair piece 2 comprising a long rectangular strip lace mesh 10 without borders 20, The lace mesh is positioned to fit around user scalp. The lace mesh can be customized to fit any area around the edge of the scalp . The borderless mesh can be covered with tinsel strands 14, or tinsel 14 and hair strands 16, that are shaped to provide a wide variety of hairstyles or varying lengths.


In one or more embodiments, the tinsel strands are evenly dispersed throughout the lace mesh; and comprise a ratio to the attached hair strands of about 10-100%.


In one or more embodiments, the hair strands are made of real hair or artificial hair, or the lace mesh comprises both.


In one or more embodiments, the hair strands comprise: a uniform natural hair color (e.g. blond, brunette, black, red, etc.), or a plurality of natural hair colors (e.g. red strands with black strands); or one artificial hair color (e.g. blue, purple, green, etc.), or a plurality of artificial hair colors (e.g. purple and pink strands); or a combination of natural and artificial hair colors (e.g. blond and pink strands).


In one or more embodiments, the tinsel strands comprise by way of non-limiting examples: silver; gold; brass; red; blue; yellow; etc.. Yet, all colors are possible, to include iridescent or glow-in-the-dark colors, and color blends. For example, each tinsel strand may consist of two or more colors on each strand (e.g., root to chin in red, and chin to shoulder in blue). Or the lace mesh comprises different colored tinsel strands, e.g., some red, some blue, some white, etc. The different colors and/or the location of the tinsel strands on the lace mesh can create a unique design, artwork, logo, etc.


In the arrangement shown, as one example, tinsel may be formed of metal, a combination of metals, aluminum, polymers, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a combination thereof, or other components depending on the desired stiffness and shape, and other factors. Various components are hereby contemplated for use.


In one or more embodiments, the hair piece comprises any length or any style of hair, as long as it comprises a combination of hair and tinsel strands, or just tinsel strands, attached to an underlying lace mesh of the present disclosure. In a particular embodiment, the lace mesh comprises hexagonal shaped pores that provide significantly improved ventilation of the underlying scalp and natural hair follicles than traditional lace meshes with circular pores. In the arrangement shown, as one example, “ventilation” may refer to either the circulation or exchange of air. The method of assembly and use may change ventilation types and ventilation function. Various ventilation methods are hereby contemplated for use depending on shape, size, assembly, and the like of system 10.


In one or more embodiments, the lace mesh is colored matched to the user’s skin tone so as not to be visible on the hairline.


User (or Plurality Thereof)

In the arrangement shown, as one example, the system includes a user. Users may be any user interacting with or utilizing the system. This may include viewing, wearing, installing, modifying, controlling, manipulating, and/or interacting with the system. Users and/or wearers and/or barbers and/or installers are not limited to a single user but may be a plurality of users.


In addition to the above identified features, options, controls, and components, the system may also include other features and functionalities, among other options, controls, and components.


Methods of Use

Various examples of operations and methods of use are hereby contemplated. Lace Mesh hair pieces of the present disclosure can be used to cover the hairline and close the gap on wigs and hair weave track extensions. They are placed in the area that would be exposed (on top for view, edge of hairline etc.); and they mimic the natural hairline and the natural parting, such as side parts or middle parts.


Most lace pieces are applied by attaching the lace mesh hair piece by the edge or border to either the natural hair or to a hair net cap by sewing. Hair glue, hair clips and or two-sided hair tape can be used to attach the edge or border to a wig cap or a hair stocking cap. It is the last piece applied to wigs, hair weaves extension and natural hair styles.


The extended lace overhang is trimmed close to the lace hairline so it will blend seamlessly to the user’s scalp. Hair glue can be applied at the edge of the lace outline for a more natural hairline appearance and secure fit.


In an embodiment, the method of applying a hair piece of the present disclosure, comprises:

  • a) providing a hair piece (2) comprising,
    • i. a lace mesh (10) with a flat bottom side (32), and a top side (30), and a plurality of pores (12);
    • ii. a plurality of tinsel strands (14) alone, or a mixture of a plurality of tinsel strands (14) and hair strands (16);
    • iii. wherein at least one of each tinsel and/or hair strand is attached to each of the plurality of pores that cover a user’s scalp;
    • iv. wherein said strands are positioned on the lace mesh top side (30) to create a decorative hair piece comprising a wig or a weave;
  • b) attaching the flat bottom side (32) to a user’s scalp via hair glue, hair clips, hair tape, and/or sewn in; and
  • c) styling the hair piece into a hair style comprising the use of one or more of: a comb, a brush, styling mouse and gels, and heat application.


In another embodiment, the method of applying a hair piece of the present disclosure, further comprises:

  • a) wherein each of the plurality of tinsel strands and hair strands is attached with a knot (18), or with industrial glue, to a mesh border (8) around each of the plurality of pores.
  • b) wherein the plurality of pores (12) are each hexagonal shaped.
  • c) wherein the lace mesh (10) is substantially in the shape of: a wide rectangle or a square; a thin rectangle; a circle; a hollow cylinder; a half oval stretching ear-to-ear; a full scalp wig: a T-shape; a triangle: or a long rectangular strip.
  • d) wherein the lace mesh 10 further comprises
    • i. an overhang 22 that extends onto a user’s forehead, and does not have tinsel and/or hair strands attached; and
    • ii. wherein the overhang does not, or does, comprise a border (20); and
    • iii. the overhang is substantially undetectable on the user’s skin.
  • e) wherein the overhang and/or the lace mesh is colored to match the skin tone of the user.


It will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that other various modifications could be made to the system, process, and method of use without parting from the spirit and scope of this disclosure. For example, various uses for modifications of hair styles, providing wigs for short hair, no hair, and similar circumstances are hereby contemplated for use. All such modifications and changes fall within the scope of the claims and are intended to be covered thereby.

  • 1. A hair system, comprising: a hair piece;a lace mesh; the lace mesh having a top and a bottom;the lace mesh having a plurality of pores;the lace mesh having a plurality of attached hair strands and/ora plurality of attached tinsel strands;wherein the lace mesh is positioned such that the lace mesh forms a decorative hair piece serving as a wig or a weave.
  • 1. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein each of the plurality of attached tinsel strands and each of the plurality of attached hair strands is attached to the lace mesh with at least one knot.
  • 2. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein each of the plurality of attached tinsel strands and each of the plurality of attached hair strands is attached to the lace mesh with an adhesive.
  • 3. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein each of the plurality of attached tinsel strands and each of the plurality of attached hair strands is attached to the lace mesh with at least one knot to an edge border of the lace mesh.
  • 4. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein each of the plurality of attached tinsel strands and each of the plurality of attached hair strands is attached to the lace mesh with an adhesive to an edge border of the lace mesh.
  • 5. The system of claim 1, further comprising: a user; the user having a scalp;wherein the lace mesh is attached to the scalp of the user.
  • 6. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein each of the plurality of pores are hexagonal in shape.
  • 7. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein each of the plurality of pores are circular in shape.
  • 8. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein the plurality of attached tinsel strands comprise 10-100% of all the strands, wherein all the strands are the combined plurality of attached tinsel strands and the plurality of attached hair strands.
  • 9. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein the plurality of attached tinsel strands comprise 20-90% of all the strands, wherein all the strands are the combined plurality of attached tinsel strands and the plurality of attached hair strands.
  • 10. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein the plurality of attached tinsel strands comprise 40-70% of all the strands, wherein all the strands are the combined plurality of attached tinsel strands and the plurality of attached hair strands.
  • 11. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein the plurality of attached tinsel strands comprise 50-60% of all the strands, wherein all the strands are the combined plurality of attached tinsel strands and the plurality of attached hair strands.
  • 12. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein the plurality of attached tinsel strands comprise more than one color.
  • 13. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein each of the plurality of attached hair strands are formed of artificial hair.
  • 14. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein the plurality of attached hair strands comprise at least one of: a uniform natural hair color, a plurality of natural hair colors, an artificial hair color, a plurality of artificial hair colors, a plurality of highlights.
  • 15. The system of claim 1, further comprising: wherein lace mesh is substantially in the shape of at least one of the following: a rectangle, a square, a circle, a cylinder, an oval, a half oval, a full scalp, a T-shape, triangle, or a long rectangular strip.
  • 16. The system of claim 1, further comprising: the lace mesh having a border; wherein the border prevents fraying of the lace mesh.
  • 17. The system of claim 1, further comprising: the lace mesh having an overhang; the overhang extending onto a forehead of a user.
  • 18. The system of claim 1, further comprising: the lace mesh having an overhang; wherein the overhang is colored to match a skin tone of a user.
  • 19. A method of applying a hair piece, comprising the steps: providing a hair piece; the hair piece having a top, a bottom, a plurality of pores, and a plurality of attached strands;attaching the bottom of the hair piece to a scalp of a user; andstyling the hair piece.
