DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

The present invention is a hair washing splash guard device 100 for protecting a user's or customer's face, eyes, and clothes when the user's or customer's hair is being washed, and for use at hair salons, barber shops, inside the home, outside the home, and any location that can accommodate hair washing. As a non-limiting example, the device 100 protects the user's or customer's face, eyes, and clothes when the user's or customer's hair is being washed, such as, but not limited to, when the user or customer is positioned in a hair washing sitting device, such as, but not limited to, a hair washing sitting chair, at a hair salon. The device 100 may be worn like a visor or a crown during use.

As shown in FIGS. 1-8, an embodiment of the hair washing splash guard device 100 is a one-piece device, and has a splash guard section 120, a head-receiving area 160, and a hair-supporting section 180. The hair washing splash guard device may also be made or manufactured as a multiple-piece device.

As a non-limiting example, the splash guard section 120 may be configured like a tiara or a half-crown having a base or lower portion 122, an upper portion 132, a rear, right side portion 142, and a rear, left side portion 152. The base 122 has an inner surface 124, an outer surface 126, and a semi-circle outline in order to fit around the front and sides of the user's head. Preferably, the base 122 is flexible or made of a flexible material to accommodate users' heads of different sizes. Preferably, the base 122 fits snuggly with the user's head, whereby the inner surface 124 of the base 122 makes contact with or is in contact with the user's forehead, so as to minimize or prevent water and/or hair washing substances from making contact with the user's or customer's face, eyes, and/or clothes when the user's or customer's hair is being washed. The upper portion 132 extends upwardly from the base 122, and has sufficient height and width to prevent water and/or hair-washing substances from making contact with the user's or customer's face, eyes, and/or clothes during use. Preferably, the upper portion 132 does not have any holes or holes that are large enough to allow water and/or hair-washing substances to make contact with the user's or customer's face, eyes, and/or clothes during use.

The head-receiving area 160 is dimensioned and configured for receiving the user's head.

As best shown in FIGS. 1, 25 and 8, the hair-supporting section 180 extends rearward from the rear, right side portion 142 and rear, left side portion 152 of the splash guard section 120. Preferably, the attachment point of the hair-supporting section 180 and splash guard section 120 is sufficiently strong to support the user's hair, water, and hair-washing substances during use. Preferably, the hair-supporting section 180 has sufficient length to receive and accommodate most or all different lengths of the users' hairs and also reach a wash basin (not shown) where the water and hair-washing substances runs down into, and has a pair of sidewalls 182,184 running along the length of the hair-supporting section 180. As a non-limiting example, the hair-supporting section 180 has an “S-shaped” configurement.

For use of the hair washing splash guard device 100: the hair washing splash guard device 100 may be positioned on a user's head and then the user's hair may be pulled through the head-receiving area 160 and positioned on the hair-supporting section 180.

The hair washing splash guard device 100 may be made or manufactured of plastic or a plastic material, any metal that does not rust or does not rust easily, recycled paper or paper material, disposable paper or paper material having enough strength to withstand one hair washing appointment, any lightweight material, any material or combination of materials known to one of ordinary skill in the art, and any combination thereof. Preferably, the hair washing splash guard device 100 is made or manufactured of plastic or a plastic material that is easily washable, affordable or inexpensive, and lightweight for providing comfort to the user during use. The hair washing splash guard device 100 may be disposable and may be made or manufactured in different sizes to accommodate different sized heads of different users.

It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described above or as shown in the attached figures, but encompasses any and all embodiments within the spirit of the invention.
