Description
CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application claims the benefit of priority from Chinese Patent Application No. 202221021337.7, filed on Apr. 29, 2022. The content of the aforementioned application, including any intervening amendments thereto, is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

TECHNICAL FIELD

This application relates to the manufacturing of hammock stands, and more particularly to a hammock stand.

BACKGROUND

Hammock is a lightweight and portable bedding for outdoor activities. In use, it is only required to suspend two ends of the hammock on the support (e.g., a tree and a support stand). Outdoor activities have become increasingly popular, and a readily-portable hammock is preferred.

At present, there are a wide variety of commercially-available hammock products, which are often equipped with a hammock stand for facilitating the suspension. Due to the large size, the hammock stand is usually designed to be detachable. The cost associated with the hammock stand mainly includes the material processing cost and the packaging and transportation cost. To minimize the packaging and transportation cost, the hammock stand is required to be as small as possible. U.S. Pat. No. 7,082,629B2 discloses a hammock stand structure, including a bottom rod, a pair of connecting rods with a certain blending degree and a pair of suspension rods, where the connecting rods are fixedly welded to a base, and the base is perpendicular to the connecting rods to form a cross-shaped structure. In order to reduce the packaging volume of each component after the disassembly, the connecting rods are required to be very short, so as to reduce the space consumption of the cross-shaped structure. Unfortunately, considering that the connecting rods are very short, if the bottom rod adopts an integrated structure, the length of the bottom rod will be increased to meet the length requirements of the bottom frame, increasing the packaging cost. As a consequence, the bottom rod in this hammock stand structure adopts a two-section connection structure, which renders the assembly process complicated. Moreover, the bottom rod is prone to bending at the middle connection when subjected to a relatively large force, such that the structure needs to be further improved.

SUMMARY

An objective of this application is to provide a hammock stand with simple structure, simple manufacturing, easy disassembly and low packaging and transportation cost to overcome the above-mentioned defects in the existing hammock stands.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS

This application will be described in detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

Referring to an embodiment shown in FIGS. 1-5, a hammock stand is provided, including a suspension frame. The suspension frame includes a bottom rod 1. Two ends of the bottom rod 1 are each connected with a suspension rod 3 through a connecting rod 2. A bottom of the suspension frame is provided with a base 4. The base 4 is in detachable fit with the suspension frame. The connecting rod 2 extends towards the bottom rod 1 to form a first extension portion 21. The connecting rod 2 extends towards the suspension rod 3 to form a second extension portion 22.

Each connection on the suspension frame is in plug-in fit, which simplifies the structure and facilitates the connection.

In this embodiment, the bottom rod 1 has an integrated structure. The bottom rod 1 and the connecting rods 2 connected at both ends of the bottom rod 1 form a three-section structure at the bottom of the suspension frame. Compared with the existing hammock stands, under the condition of the same bottom length, the number of connections are reduced, such that the efficiency of disassembly and assembly of the hammock stand can be improved. In addition, the integrated structure of the bottom rod 1 has high strength, and is convenient to be manufactured.

The suspension rod 3 has an integrated structure, simplifying the assembly of the suspension rod 3. The integrated structure of the suspension rod 3 can not only enhance the strength of the suspension rod 3, but also facilitate the manufacture.

The base 4 can be provided at a position of the connecting rod 2 or a position of the bottom rod 1. In this embodiment, the base 4 is connected with the connecting rod 2, and a larger distance between two bases 4 will make the hammock stand more stable. The base 4 is in detachable fit with the suspension frame, which reduces the packaging volume for the members connected with the base, such that the packaging and transportation cost can be reduced. At the same time, this design facilitates the extension of the connecting rod 2 at both ends. By extending the connecting rod 2 (namely, the arrangement of the first extension portion 21 and the second extension portion 22), the bending process of the connecting rod 2 is convenient, and the overlapping length of the connecting parts where the bottom rod 1 is connected with the connecting rod 2 and the bottom rod 1 is connected with the suspension rod 3 is increased, so as to enhance the connection strength.

The first extension portion 21 is fixedly provided with a mounting seat 5 adapted to the base 4, and the mounting seat 5 is provided with a locking member 51. The mounting seat 5 is perpendicular to the first extending portion 21 of the connecting rod 2.

A support member 52 is provided between the mounting seat 5 and the first extension portion 21. In this embodiment, a reinforcing fin is used as the support member 52, and the reinforcing fin is processed with a groove to be matched with a circular structure of the connecting rod 2, such that the connecting rod 2 is embedded in the groove to assist the positioning. The arrangement of the support member 52 can strengthen the connection.

In this embodiment, the first extension portion 21 and the second extension portion 22 are of equal length. Based on this design, a straight rod is bent to form the connecting rod 2 during processing. The two ends of the connecting rod 2 are cut off according to a designed size to form the first extension portion 21 and the second extension portion 22, and then the mounting seat 5 is fixedly welded on each of the first extension portion 21 and the second extension portion 22. At this time, it is only necessary to fix the mounting seat 5 on any one of the first extension portion 21 and the second extension portion 22, without distinguishing the first extension portion 21 and the second extension portion 22, improving the manufacturing efficiency.

The base 4 has a square cross-section.

Two ends of the base 4 are each sleevedly provided with a protective cover 41.

The base 4 is made of a hollow square tube, and thus the arrangement of the protective cover 41 can not only prevent sundries from entering the base 4, but also prevent the user from being scratched by the end edges of the base 4, making it safer in use. The mounting seat 5 has a square structure with one edge open. The opening of the mounting seat 5 faces down downward. When assembling, the base 4 is inserted into the mounting seat 5, and locked with the locking member 51, facilitating the disassembly and assembly. Since the base 4 has the square cross-section, a contact surface between the base 4 and the placement surface is a plane. Compared to the base with a circular cross-section, the contact surface has larger friction force, such that the placement is more stable.

Two ends of the connecting rod 2 are each provided with an extendable-retractable insertion pin 6. The bottom rod 1 and the suspension rod 3 are respectively provided with a pin hole 6a. An end of the insertion pin 6 has a hemispherical structure. An elastic reset member is provided between the insertion pin 6 and the connecting rod 2. Under the action of the elastic reset member, the insertion pin is in an extended state. When connected, the bottom rod 1 or the suspension rod 3 is sleeved outside the connecting rod 2, and the insertion pin 6 is pressed to retract into the connecting rod 2, so as to complete the connection between the connecting rod 2 and the bottom rod 1 or the suspension rod 3. When moving to the pin hole 6a, the insertion pin 6 extends out of the pin hole 6a for fixing under the action of the elastic reset member.

Referring to an embodiment shown in FIG. 4, an upper end of the suspension rod 3 is provided with a suspension hook 31. The suspension hook 31 is in detachably fit with the suspension rod 3. The arrangement of the suspension hook 31 facilitates the suspension of the hammock.

Described above are merely illustrative of this application, and are not intended to limit this application.
