1. Field of the Invention
The present invention is related to a handle grip and particularly to a light handle grip, which is made of foam PU, for being gripped comfortably and providing a property of excellent moisture absorption.
2. Brief Description of the Related Art
Generally, rackets such as tennis racket and badminton racket have to be made with a specification in accordance with international regulations. In order to be competitive on the market, the designers endeavor to solve problems related to such as balancing specific weight, elasticity and twisting and try to improve technique related to arranging racket cords or designing handle grip. Nevertheless, the handle grip is the only place the user contacts and is the key point to control the racket. The user has to consider if the handle grip is suitable for holding while selecting a racket except personal physical ability and hitting ball/shuttlecock habit. If the handle grip is too plump, it is easy for the user becoming fatigue with less sensibility. If the handle grip is too slender, it is hard for the user to hold it tightly and, even more, it becomes loose to result in turned over racket in case of a heavy stroke being subjected. Besides, usually a high shock force is generated at the beginning stroke and it is easy to occur symptom of tennis elbow if the handle grip is designed and made improperly. Generally, the entire racket is made of wood to overcome the problem of balancing specific weight. However, the part of wooden handle grip is unable to meet requirements of comfort and moisture absorption. Although a band shaped thin strip is coiled on the part of wooden handle grip for offering comfort and absorbing sweater from the hand, actually organization of wood is not homogeneous and contains moisture inside. As a matter of fact, the wooden handle grip provides inconsistent and unbalanced weight, which affects effect of ball hitting. Further, most of the strip coiled around the wooden handle grip is made of leather and it is not suitable for shock and moisture absorptions. In addition, if the coiled strip is arranged with unequal pitches, it is uncomfortable for holding while in use.
Referring to
An object of the present invention is to provide a handle grip, which is made of foam PU, with light weight, comfort for holding and good moisture absorption.
The detail structure, the applied principle, the function and the effectiveness of the present invention can be more fully understood with reference to the following description and accompanying drawings, in which:
Referring to
Foam PU is a shock absorption median with light weight. Besides, foam PU is capable of absorbing moisture moderately and has a property of volatility for moisture. Hence, the handle body 20 offers users excellent performance of shock reduction, anti-slip and moisture absorption.
Referring to FIGS. 7 to 10, a plurality of annular recesses 22 are disposed on the handle body 20 in a way of equally spacing from each other or a spiral shaped recess is arranged on the handle body 20. A plurality of decoration bands 23, which are made of cloth, leather or rubber, are set in the annular recesses and tied tightly to the handle body 20 with a hook and loop fastener respectively. Alternatively, a decoration band 23, which is made of cloth, leather or rubber, is arranged to coil the handle body 20 along the spiral recess 22 and tied tightly to the handle body 20 with a hook and loop fastener. Because the decoration bands 23 or the decoration band 23 is attached to the annular recesses 22 or the spiral recess 22, problems such as loosening and sliding away are not possible to occur. Further, the decoration bands or band 23 enhances sense of beauty in addition to effects of anti-slip and shock reduction.
As the foregoing, it is appreciated that the handle body 10 according to the present invention is suitable for being widely employed to the sports appliances such as golf club, tennis racket and badminton racket because it offers excellent effects while in use such as comfort of gripping and moisture absorption.
While the invention has been described with referencing to preferred embodiments thereof, it is to be understood that modifications or variations may be easily made without departing from the spirit of this invention, which is defined by the appended claims.
