Generally, besides pockets, garments and garment accessories do not allow for wearers to carry mobile devices without the use of the wearer's hands. In instances where a wearer must use both hands (e.g., driving, carrying groceries, pushing a stroller), these garments and garment accessories result in wearers having to pin a cellphone to their ear and other means that are discomfortable to wearer. Further, while some garments and garment accessories enable the carrying of a mobile device without the use of a wearer's hand, these garment and garment accessories do not enable use of the mobile device while the mobile device is being carried.
The present invention is generally directed to device carrying garments, more specifically to a garment including a handsfree device carrying accessory that enables horizontal movement, vertical movement, and stability of a mobile device while the wearer is undergoing movement.
Current methods of holding mobile devices includes clip-on cell phone holders, selfie sticks, and other similar devices. Problems with these devices include a limited range of motion and stability issues. Many of these devices can only extend in a linear motion and/or have limited number of locking positions. Further, these device holding items do not provide stability while using a remote device. In view of the foregoing problems, there is a need for a handsfree device carrying garment that allows for handsfree use of a mobile device while a wearer is moving.
In some embodiments, the present invention includes a handsfree device carrying garment. The handsfree device carrying garment includes a garment including an attachment receiving component and a plurality of attachment components, and a device carrying accessory including an attachment component, an extendable arm, and a device holding component. The extendable arm is operable to move from an extended position to a retracted position. When moving from the retracted position to the extended position, the extendable arm extends away from the garment. The device holding component is operable to receive at least one device. The device holding component is positioned at a first end of the extendable arm. The attachment component is positioned at a second end of the extendable arm.
