Abstract
The HATDANA HAT simply put based on apparel industry guidelines for head sizes and hat sizes, is a more efficient and economical manufacturing process of making several hats from one same square yard of fabric. By being able to cut several two specific shapes a Rectangle (brim) and Triangle (crown) from one same square yard of fabric and stitching with one stitched seam one each of those two specific shapes together in a particular way a Rectangle and Triangle yields one hat. Being able to cut several Rectangles and Triangles from one same square yard of fabric yields several hats. Each hat covers head in entirety based on the hat making industry's own understanding of hat and head sizes.
Description
BACKGROUND

According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary 2017 online edition the definition of a hat is;Hat-“A covering for the head usually having a shaped crown and brim.”

In the case of A Hatdana Hat the Rectangle is the brim and the Triangle is the crown.

The Hatdana Hat is a “state of the art” apparel product and manufacturing process of hats covering the head.

We assume that one of the key components for the survival of early man to protect themselves from the elements was the ability to fashion clothing from animal hides. Eventually learning how to stitch these pieces together for complete body and head covering to ultimately through the centuries figure out the making of cloth from plant material.

Hats globally throughout time have taken on many shapes and forms from simply tying a piece of cloth around one's head for functionality to ornate and complex designs and the stitching together of many pieces to create one hat.

Ultimately the Hatdana Hat is a manufacturing process that allows several hats to quickly and efficiently be manufactured out of one same square yard of fabric.

A Hatdana hat is a unique manufacturing process of creating several hats from one same square yard of fabric based on the average size of the human head and hat sizes put forth by the hat making industry.

By cutting a measured Rectangle(brim) shape and a measured Triangle(crown) shape, and by stitching those two pieces together in a particular fashion with one seam one hat is created leaving more material to cut more same size Triangles and Rectangles for more hats out of that same one square yard of fabric.

SUMMARY

The primary advantages of the manufacturing process of the Hatdana Hat are that several hats are yielded using the several Rectangle shapes and Triangle shapes cut from one same square yard of fabric. By stitching with one seam one piece of Rectangle and one piece of Triangle together in a particular fashion you will yield a whole one piece of cloth that covers head in entirety. Yielding several Rectangles and Triangles one of each stitched together with one seam in a particular fashion from one said yard of fabric yields several hats that cover head in entirety. The fact that you only need one seam to solidly stitch together one Rectangle and one Triangle in a specific way to create one cloth that covers head in entirety expedites the manufacturing process of creating a Hatdana Hat.

The ease of cutting Rectangle and Triangle“squared”shapes cut as opposed to more complex cuts based on a circular pattern creates more ease of manufacturing. The Triangle,Rectangle patterns leaves less fabric for waste. All of these principles create a less expensive yet more effective and faster way of manufacturing several hats from one square yard of fabric.

DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION

A Hatdana Hat is a manufacturing process for creating several hats out of one same square yard piece of fabric. By cutting several Rectangle shapes and several Triangle shapes from one same square yard of fabric and stitching one Rectangle shape and one Triangle shape together in a particular fashion you create one piece of fabric that will wrap around head in entirety creating a hat. This one piece of fabric that is created out of one Rectangle and one Triangle can either be tied at each end of Rectangle (brim) and tucked around head covering head or at each end of the Rectangle (brim) fastened with many industry standard fasteners such as buttons, snaps, or Velcro.

First, take one same square yard of fabric. FIG. 1. Second, cut one same square yard of fabric into one larger evenly sized rectangle which two squares will be cut from and from rest of material of one same square yard of fabric cut four smaller Rectangles which each will create individual brims. FIG. 2. Third, cut the larger evenly sized rectangle into two squares. FIG. 3. Fourth, cut the two squares each diagonally creating four Triangles which each will create one individual crown. FIG. 4. Fifth, lay one individual Rectangle and one individual Triangle flat. FIG. 5. Sixth, fold lengthwise Rectangle around bottom of Triangle and stitch lengthwise across attaching Rectangle to Triangle creating one piece of cloth that fits around head in entirety.

Claims
  • 1. Gabriel M. Bannowsky do put forth that this claim of a Hatdana Hat is a hat manufacturing process based on the general accepted average size of the human head in the hat industry to be between 21″ and 23″ in circumference. By specifically cutting a Rectangle (brim) shape and a Triangle(crown) shape from one same square yard of fabric in congruence with the average size's of the human head and fixing these two piece's together in a specific way creating one piece of fabric for a complete covering of the head creates a hat. The Rectangle (brim) shape and the Triangle (crown) shape design allows many Rectangle shapes and many Triangle shapes cut from one same yard of fabric and when one each of these Rectangle and Triangle shapes are stitched together in a specific way yields many hats from one same square yard of fabric. Specifically, the Geometry of the Rectangle shape and Triangle shape cut from one same square yard of fabric and stitched together in a specific way creates one piece of fabric that covers head in entirety creating a hat gives Hatdana Hat it's unique patentable quality.
