Abstract
The present invention relates an improved shape of headwear, more particularly, to a headwear capable of adjusting automatically a size according to a size of user's head without a separate size adjusting device and maintaining continuously a shape of a main body of the headwear.
Description
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

1. Field of Invention

The present invention relates to a headwear capable of adjusting automatically a size according to a size of user's head without a separate size adjusting device and maintaining continuously a shape of a main body of the headwear.

2. Description of the Related Art

Generally, a headwear refers a cap style headwear and is mainly constructed with a crown part or a main body of the headwear which is composed of a plurality of woven fabrics, a visor part attached to a front lower portion of the crown part, a headband attached to an inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part and a size adjusting device attached to a rear bottom portion of the crown part. This headwear is used by sports people or worn to protect a face from the sunshine, and also came to be used as a part of fashion by which many people express themselves. In addition, the headwear is widely used by people of all ages and both sexes due to such change of thought.

However, there is an inconvenience of adjusting the size adjusting device located in the rear portion of the crown part according to a size of user's head whenever wearing the headwear.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Accordingly, it is an object of the present invention to provide a headwear capable of adjusting automatically a size according to a size of user's head without a separate size adjusting device.

It is another object of the present invention to provide a headwear capable of maintaining continuously a shape of a crown part or a main body of the headwear irrespective of wearing or taking off the headwear.

In the accordance with these objects, the present invention is directed to headwear including a crown part made of more than one piece of fabric, having several panels and a headband part attached to the lower inside edge of the crown part, in which the headband part is composed of a flexible material and a flexible band made of woven twill fabric which covered the flexible material, the flexible band and the flexible material are sewn together in a chain-like pattern using rubber and nylon yarns to provide good expandability and thereby increase the number of different wearer head sizes that may be accommodated by the headband without the need for a separate size controller. the flexible material is woven with at least a mono yarn in a warp direction and a flexible yarn in a weft direction or made so that a fabric woven with a highly flexible yarn and a spandex yarn and mono yarn in a warp direction are coupled.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The above and/or other aspects and advantages of the prevent invention will become apparent and more readily appreciated from the following description of the exemplary embodiments, taken in conjunction with the accompany drawings, in which:

FIG. 1 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to the present invention;

FIG. 2 is a perspective view partially illustrating a headband of an embodiment according to the present invention;

FIG. 3 is a perspective view partially illustrating a headband of another embodiment according to the present invention; and

FIG. 4 is a perspective view partially illustrating a headband of yet another embodiment according to the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE ILLUSTRATIVE, NON-LIMITING EMBODIMENTS OF THE INVENTION

Reference will now be made in detail to the embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein like reference numerals refer to like elements throughout. The embodiments are described below so as to explain the present invention by referring to the figures.

FIG. 1 is a partially broken side view illustrating a headwear according to the present invention and FIG. 2 is a perspective view partially illustrating a headband of an embodiment according to the present invention. The headwear according to the present invention is mainly constructed with a crown part 1 or a main body of the headwear which is made of more than one piece of fabric, having several panels, and a headband part 3 attached to the lower inside edge of the crown part 1, and a visor part 2 attached to a front lower portion of the crown part 1. At least one panel of the panels composing the crown part 1 is a flexible fabric containing polyurethane. The headband part 3 is composed of a thin inside flexible material 5 and a flexible band 4 which covered the flexible material 5. The flexible material 5 is woven with at least a mono yarn 7 in a warp direction and a flexible yarn 6 in a weft direction. The flexible band 4 which covered the flexible material 5 is made to contain polyurethane or to have flexibility by its structure even if not containing the polyurethane, and preferably made of a woven twill fabric; a width of the flexible band 4 is determined enough to enclose the flexible material 5. In an inner peripheral bottom portion between the headband part 3 and crown part 1 is attached an auxiliary elastic band 18 made of an elastic material such as rubber. The flexible material 5 and the flexible band 4 are coupled by sewing in a chain-like pattern using rubber and nylon yarns, and thus a chain-like pattern sewing line 8 is formed on the flexible band 4. The headwear having headband part 3 composed of the flexible band 4 and the flexible material 5 is not necessary of a separate size adjusting part and the size and capable of adjusting the size as the crown part 1 and the headband part 3 are automatically expanded and contracted according to a size of user's head when the user wears the headwear according to the present invention. The flexible material 5 inside the flexible band prevents the side and rear portions of the crown part 1 from drooping and thus supports the crown part so that an overall appearance of the crown part 1 can be continuously maintained irrespective of wearing or taking off the headwear by the user.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view partially illustrating a headband of another embodiment according to the present invention. The headband part 9 according to another embodiment of the present invention is, like the above embodiment, attached to the lower inside edge of the crown part or the main body of the headwear and composed of a thin inside flexible material 10 and a flexible band 9 which covered the flexible material 10. Both ends of the flexible material 10 have a shape of woven fabric 14 woven in a predetermined width with a highly flexible yarn and a spandex yarn and the other portion except for the woven fabrics at the both ends is sparsely woven with a mono yarn 12 in a warp direction and a highly flexible yarn 13 in a weft direction. A spandex may be used as the highly flexible yarn 13. The flexible band 9 which covered the flexible material 10 is, like the above embodiment, made of a woven twill fabric containing polyurethane or may be made to have flexibility by its structure even if not containing the polyurethane. The flexible material 10 and the flexible band 9 are coupled by sewing in a chain-like pattern using rubber and nylon yarns and thus a chain type sewing line 15 is formed on the flexible band 9.

FIG. 4 is a partial perspective view illustrating a headband of yet another embodiment according to the present invention. The headband part 16 according to the yet another embodiment of the present invention is attached to the inner peripheral bottom portion of the crown part 1 or the main body of the headwear and composed of a flexible woven band 17 alone without an thin inside flexible material unlike the above embodiments. The flexible band 17 is a two-layered shape and, like the above embodiments, made of a woven twill fabric containing polyurethane or may be made to have flexibility by its structure even if not containing the polyurethane. A chain-like pattern sewing line 19 which is sewed using rubber and nylon yarns is formed on the flexible band 17.

Although a few exemplary embodiments of the present invention have been shown and described, it will be appreciated by those skilled in the art that changes may be made in these embodiments without departing from the principles and spirit of the invention, the scope of which is defined in the appended claims and their equivalents.
