1. Technical Field
The present disclosure relates to the configuration of a heat gun head.
2. Description of Related Art
A heat gun head generally has only one outlet. Hot air flows from the outlet of the heat gun head to heat opposite sides of a chip in turn, to melt soldering tins attached to pins at opposite sides of the chip, so that the chip can be disengaged from a circuit board easily. However, the different distances between the pins and the outlet lead to that the pins do not obtain the heat evenly, melted soldering tin at one of the pins may have been re-solidified meanwhile the soldering tin at the other pin is still being melted, which is inconvenient.
Many aspects of the present embodiments can be better understood with reference to the following drawings. The components in the drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale, the emphasis instead being placed upon clearly illustrating the principles of the present embodiments. Moreover, in the drawings, all the views are schematic, and like reference numerals designate corresponding parts throughout the several views.
The disclosure, including the accompanying drawings, is illustrated by way of example and not by way of limitation. It should be noted that references to “an” or “one” embodiment in this disclosure are not necessarily to the same embodiment, and such references mean “at least one.”
The housing 10 includes a hollow tapered head 11, two blocks 13 rotatably connected to the head 11, and a hollow columnar neck 16 connected to a small rear end of the head 11. A recess 12 is defined in a large front end of the head 11 opposite to the neck 11, extending through opposite sides and a front end surface 112 of the head 11. A partition wall 126 is perpendicularly connected between opposite sidewalls 123 bounding the recess 12, away from the front end wall 112. Two openings 122 are defined in opposite ends of the recess 12, between the partition wall 126 and the opposite sides of the head 11, and communicating the recess 12 with an inner space of the head 11. Two opposite pivot holes 124 are defined in the opposite sidewalls 123 of the recess 12, adjacent to each opening 122. Two rows of outlets 15 are defined in the front end surface 112, at opposite sides of the recess 12 and communicating with the inner space of the head 11. A slide slot 18 is defined in a circumference of the neck 16, communicating with an inner space of the neck 16 and extending along a direction perpendicular to the front end surface 112.
Two pivot poles 125 extend from opposite ends of each block 13, to rotatably engage in the corresponding pivot holes 124, thereby rotatably connecting the block 13 to the head 11. A wedge-shaped stop tab 131 extends in from a side of each block 13, away from the partition wall 126. A limitation portion 132 extends from an outer side of each block 13.
The transmission mechanism 20 is received in the neck 16, including a transmission pole 21 with a plurality of latches 211 extending from opposite sides of the transmission pole 21, two gears 22 rotatably mounted to an inner surface 162 of the neck 16 through two shafts 222 and meshing with the latches 211, and an operation pole 23. The transmission pole 21 is movable in a direction perpendicular to the front end surface 112. The operation pole 23 extends from the transmission pole 21, and extends out of the neck 16 through the slide slot 18. A cover 232 is formed on an upper portion of the operation pole 23, abutting against the inner surface 162 and covering the slide slot 18.
The motion mechanism 30 includes a substantially U-shaped connection portion 301, and two arced resilient tabs 33 extending forward from two ends of the connection portion 301. The connection portion 301 includes a connection tab 31 connected to a front end of the transmission pole 21, and two extension tabs 32 extending forward from opposite sides of the connection tab 31. The resilient tabs 33 extend forward and outward from front ends of the extension tabs 32. The resilient tabs 33 extend through the openings 122 and are connected to rear ends of the blocks 13. A connection pole 35 extends from the inner surface of the head 11 and abuts against a junction of outer sides of each extension tab 32 and the corresponding resilient tab 33.
In use, the outlets 15 are aligned with the pins 102. The heat gun is powered on. Hot air flows through the neck 16 and head 11, and flows out of the heat gun head through the outlets 15. Hot air from the outlets 15 blows toward the pins 102 at the same time, to melt soldered tins attached to the pins 102 at the same time. The heat gun is powered off. The operation pole 23 is manipulated forward, to allow the transmission pole 21 to move forward. The gears 22 are rotated. The connection portion 301 moves forward. The resilient tabs 33 are deformed and pull the rear ends of the blocks 13 forward, to allow the blocks 13 to rotate outward about the pivot poles 125. The main body 101 is received in the recess 12, located between the blocks 13. The operation pole 23 is manipulated backwards. The resilient tabs 33 restore and the connection portion 301 and transmission pole 21 return to their original position. The blocks 13 rotate toward each other and clamp the main body 101. The chip 100 can then be removed from the circuit board. The stop tabs 131 can prevent the chip 100 from moving out of the recess 12. When the blocks 13 are rotated outwards, the limitation portions 132 abut against an outer surface of the head 11, to prevent the resilient tabs 33 from losing elasticity in case of deforming too much.
The heat gun head defines the two rows of outlets 15 aligning with the pins 102 of the chip 100. The soldered tins attached to the pins 102 are melted at the same time, thereby the chip 100 can be detached from the circuit board conveniently.
