The only hot rollers on the market today only curl hair and do not give lift at the root for volume. The roller sizes available now are too small to give the hair volume like a blow-dry. The biggest roller sizes on the market are 1.5 inches and fail to volumize hair. The present invention will enable the user to have a round brush blow-dry look with minimal time and effort.

The invention provides a roller set for hair care comprising a set of heated rollers, each roller having a diameter of at least 2 inches and a detachable handle capable of insertion into a center of each roller and a release switch on the handle. In an embodiment a handle magnet may be attached to the end of the handle to secure the handle to the roller, wherein the roller magnet is attracted to the handle magnet and acts to guide the handle into alignment with the center of the roller. In an embodiment a roller magnet is disposed at an end of the roller.
The roller may enable a user to smooth and volumize hair. The set of rollers may be of varying sizes between 2 inches and 4 inches in diameter. The set of rollers may include a first roller having a 2 inch diameter, a second roller having a 2.5 inch diameter and a third roller having 3 inch diameter. The center of each roller may have a uniform diameter and a single handle capable of being inserted into either the first, second or third roller. The diameter of the center of each roller may be approximately ½ inch.
Each of the rollers may have a length of approximately 4 inches and each roller has an axis and the length is measured parallel to the axis. The rollers may be housed in a heating base. The heating base may include a lid. The handle may be used to remove the roller from the heating base without a user's fingers touching the heated base. The heated base may house at least 8 rollers.
The invention further provides a method of volumizing hair comprising the steps of inserting a handle into a heated roller, the roller having a diameter of at least 2 inches, removing a heated roller from a heated base using the handle and applying the roller nearly adjacent a root of the hair in order to smooth and volumize the hair. The method further comprising the steps of applying the roller to a clump of hair, rotating the roller, curling the clump of hair adjacent the root of the clump of hair and volumizing the clump of hair without curling an end of the hair.
The method may further comprise the steps of releasing a switch on the handle, detaching the handle fr o m a center of the roller, attracting a handle magnet attached to an end of the handle to a roller magnet attached to an end of the roller and guiding the handle into alignment with the center of the roller. The method may further comprise the steps of providing a set of rollers, a first roller having a 2 inch diameter, a second roller having a 2.5 inch diameter and a third roller having 3 inch diameter and inserting the handle within a center of one of the first, second or third rollers, the center of the first, second and third rollers having a uniform diameter so that the same handle may be used with any of the first, second or third rollers. The method may further comprise the step of replacing the first roller within the heated base by holding the handle and moving the handle over the heated base above a vacant spot within the heated base, pressing the release switch to release the handle from the first roller, withdrawing the handle from the center of the first roller, moving the handle over the second roller, inserting the handle into the center of the second roller, removing the second roller from the heated base using the handle and applying the second roller to a person's hair.
The handle may be secured within the center of the roller. The set of rollers may be attached to the heated base using one of a compression fit, a screw fit, a rotating lock fit, a flexible ball socket, a snap-fit and a finger engagement.
