Claims
- 1. A heating apparatus comprising:
- (a) an enclosure case having therein a heating chamber adapted to receive an object to be heated;
- (b) heating means for generating a heating energy to be fed into said heating chamber;
- (c) a door mounted at an opening of said heating chamber for opening and closing said heating chamber;
- (d) means for opening said door by releasing a locking means for locking said door, when the door is closed;
- (e) memory means for storing a plurality of preprogrammed cooking sequences defining heating levels to be provided by said heating means and times corresponding thereto; and
- (f) speech recognition and control circuit means for actuating said door opening means and for carrying out one of said plurality of preprogrammed cooking sequences, said speech recognition and control circuit means issuing a first signal for controlling said door opening means in response to a first predetermined voice command, and a second signal for carrying out a preprogrammed cooking sequence in response to a second predetermined voice command different from said first predetermined voice command.
- 2. A heating apparatus according to claim 4, wherein said speech recognition and control circuit means includes a means for analyzing voice commands comprising:
- (a) a means for dividing a voice command into a plurality of signals, each representing that portion of the voice command within a predetermined frequency band,
- (b) a means for sampling the plurality of signals,
- (c) a means for generating digital data indicative of said samples,
- (d) a means for comparing the digital data with previously stored reference pattern data to determine any correlation therewith, and
- (e) means, in the event of a correlation according to predetermined criteria, for generating a control signal indicative of the correlation, for controlling the operation of the heating apparatus.
- 3. A voice command heating apparatus comprising:
- a heating chamber;
- means for providing heating energy within said heating chamber for heating a foodstuff inserted therein;
- a door mounted at an opening of said heating chamber for opening and closing the heating chamber;
- a memory;
- means for storing in said memory data representing a door opening command;
- a speech recognition circuit for generating a command signal in response to a user's voice command;
- means for correlating said command signal from said speech recognition circuit with data previously stored in said memory representing a door opening command and generating a correlation signal indicative thereof; and
- a control circuit responsive to said correlation signal for opening said door by releasing a locking state thereof.
