Claims
- 1. A heating apparatus comprising:a heat storing tip; an electrical resistance heating element for heating said tip; an electrical insulator positioned between said heating element and said tip; said heating element comprising a thin plate of electrical resistance material which is either Nichrome or iron chrome; said electrical insulator comprising a thermal conductor having heat conductivity 5 times or more greater than said heating element; said tip having either copper or silver or an alloy and having copper or silver as a major ingredient; and said tip, heating element and electrical insulator being in close thermally conductive association.
- 2. A heating apparatus according to claim 1 wherein said electrical insulator comprises aluminum nitride.
- 3. A heating apparatus according to claim 1 wherein said electrical insulator comprises silicone carbide.
- 4. A heating apparatus according to claim 1 wherein said electrical insulator comprises diamond.
- 5. A heating apparatus according to claim 1 and including equivalents of iron chrome and nichrome including Kanthal alloy, platinum or other metals used for electric heat wires.
