The present invention relates to a height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support for construction of beams and floor slabs in buildings, and more particularly to a u-shaped support that can be extended for a part of support posts in the temporary support system and a support system using the same
During the construction of buildings, it is necessary to install a temporary support system consisting of a large number of support posts and horizontal ties on the ground, and place wooden or steel formwork on the temporary support to create the shape for the concrete to be poured in to form the beams and slabs. There are critical positions to place the support system below the formwork in order to support the beam and slab areas between adjacent beams. The bottom surface of the slab is located higher than the bottom surface of the load-bearing beam; and from a structural standpoint, two adjacent beams share the distributed load across the slab. Therefore, when the temporary support is provided for both beam and slab, the height of the support posts for supporting the beam is lower than that for supporting the slab. In order to set up this temporary support system, it is often necessary to prepare a higher combined temporary support for the slab, as it also bears the dispersed loading from the beam as well, which resorts to requiring more manpower and material resources, and as a result, increasing construction costs.
For overcoming defects of the prior art, an object of the present invention is to provide a height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support, wherein the u-shaped support base can be connected to a scaffold post of a conventional scaffold system to further increase the height of the scaffold post.
Another objective of the present invention is to provide a device using the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support, which can be easily applied to different occasions.
Accordingly, in order to accomplish the above objectives, the present invention provides a height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support, comprising of: a support post integrally formed with an external threaded section, a U-shaped support base slidable and disposed around the external threaded section, a spindle nut sleeved on the external threaded section located below the U-shaped support base, fastening through-holes provided at both ends of the support post, a connecting spigot with two sets of fastening through-holes, and at least one transverse perforated disc. One end of the connecting spigot is inserted into the end of the support post with the matching fastening through-holes, once the through-hole are aligned with the respective through-hole on the connecting spigot, the transverse locking fastener is used to pass through to connect the support post and the connecting spigot together. The U-shaped support base can slide relative to the support post, especially on the external threaded section; the spindle nut acts as the height-adjusting component that moves itself and the U-shaped support base up and down on the external threaded section, and can be fixed to support the U-shaped support base at any position on the external threaded section. This allows for the U-shaped support base to hold the formwork at intermediate height in the temporary support system, such as a beam, wooden board or steel material; while the support post can be conveniently connected to any support posts of the support system by utilizing connecting spigots with two sets of fastening through-holes, so that the support posts may facilitate in the vertical direction.
Preferably, the external threaded section and a smooth tube section integrally forms the support post, and a perforated connecting disc is arranged on the external wall of the tube section; the perforated connecting disc is located above the U-shaped support base.
Preferably, the fastening through-holes are respectively provided on one end of the smooth tube section and on the other end of the external threaded section; once the fastening through-holes of the external threaded section are aligned with one set of the connecting spigot's fastening through-holes, the locking pin is passed through the holes to connect the support post and spigot together. The two sets of fastening through-holes are provided to facilitate any extensions of the support post from either ends.
Preferably, the spindle nut, which acts as a height-adjusting component, is integrally formed by two symmetrical handles disposed on the external wall of the nut, and the internal wall of the nut is provided with a threaded surface that corresponds to the external thread section of the support post.
Preferably, the locking pin component is a bolt; where one end of the bolt is provided with a fixed nut, and the other end is provided with a detachable nut; the total quantity of locking pins is one.
A support system is also provided, comprising of: at least one height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support, wherein the combined support posts comprises of m rows and n columns of support posts, while m and n are integers not less than 1; wherein in the combined support posts, at least one height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support is provided on at least one of the support posts.
Preferably, with one height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support; at least one height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support is provided on the top end of an outermost scaffold post of one row of the support posts; the bottom end of a connecting spigot is connected to top end of the scaffold post; while an end of a support plate is disposed on the combined support of which is connected to a U-shaped support base on the height-adjustable post.
With one height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support, while m and n are integers not less than 2; in any two rows of the support posts with the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support, at least one height-adjustable support post is provided respectively on top ends of the two outermost support posts of both rows of support posts; the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support is connected to top ends of the support posts through a connecting spigot; wherein the temporary support system is further comprised of two cross beams and two I-beams arranged below the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support, wherein two ends of the cross beams are respectively connected to U-shaped support bases of the respective height-adjustable support posts, and the two ends of the cross beams are located outside the two outermost support posts; two ends of each of the I-beams are perpendicularly connected to bottom surfaces of two same-side ends of the two cross beams.
Alternatively, a quantity of the combined height-adjustable support post is two, the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support is used to support load-bearing beams and slabs, and the two combined support posts are placed left and right; in the combined support post on the left, at least one height-adjustable support base is provided on a top end of a rightmost support post of at least one row of the support posts, and a support member is provided at a top end of the U-shaped support base; in the combined support post on the right, at least one U-shaped support base is provided on a top end of a leftmost scaffold post of at least one row of the support posts, and the support member is provided at the top end of the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support.
Beneficial technical effect is: the U-shaped support base can slide relative to the support post, especially on the external threaded section; the spindle nut can move up and down on the external threaded section, and shall be fixed at any position on the external threaded section to support the U-shaped support base, in such a manner that the U-shaped support base bears the lateral load at any height in the support system, such as a beam; the support post can be quickly connected to any support posts of the support system by providing two connecting spigots having the fastening through-holes with different heights, so as to facilitate rise of the support posts in a height direction. With the support system utilizing the above height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support, the post can be arranged on one or more support posts of the support system as needed in order to extend the support posts. Therefore, it is not necessary to provide a separate U-shaped support base in some specific cases. Compared with the prior art, the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support is easy to install and disassemble, and is convenient for the height extension of the conventional support system. Because the support system can be extended, the utilization rate of the conventional support component can be improved, manpower and material resources are saved, and the overall construction cost is reduced.

According to embodiment, one end of the support post comprises of the external threaded section 101 and the opposite end of a circular unthreaded tube section 103, and a perforated connecting disc 6 is arranged on the external wall of the circular unthreaded tube section 103; the perforated connecting disc 6 is located above the U-shaped support base 2. The perforated connecting disc 6 is commonly used on support frames on conventional construction sites for efficiently connecting the support post 1 to various horizontal or inclined components. The perforated connecting disc 6 is also commonly used on various support systems on conventional construction sites for the same purpose.
In order to utilize the support post 1 itself as a connecting member, the fastening through-holes 102 are respectively provided at the end of the circular unthreaded tube section 103 and the end of the external threaded section 101; after the fastening through-holes 102 of the external threaded section 101 are aligned with one set of the fastening through-holes 401, the transverse locking pin 5 shall pass through the fastening through-holes 102 and 401 to join the support post 1 and the connecting spigot 4 together. The two fastening through-holes 102 are provided to facilitate the function of extension for the support post 1 at either ends.
The spindle nut 3 used as the height-adjusting component is integrally foiled by a rotating ring 301 with two support handles 302 symmetrically disposed on the external wall of the rotating ring 301; and the internal wall of the rotating ring 301 is threaded to correspond directly with the external threaded section 101 of the support post 1.
According to embodiment, only one transverse locking pin 5 is required, wherein the transverse locking pin 5 is a bolt; one end of the bolt is provided with a fixed nut, while the other end is provided with a detachable nut 7.

Of course, as an alternative, the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support may be disposed on each scaffold post of each support frame, and the support member 14 is disposed on top of each height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support, so that the support member 14 can directly support the bottom surface of the floor 12. Furthermore, the height of the U-shaped support base 2 can be adjusted to support the load-bearing beam 11 at the same level as other support framework.
According to the actual situation, the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support and the support member may be disposed on the left and right side support posts of multiple rows of support posts in each combination of support members. According to the embodiment 1, the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support with various support components are provided on the left and right side of four sets of scaffold post combinations, so that it is not necessary to provide a separate and higher-level for supporting the floor 12. The height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support is more utilized than the prior art, and the perforated connecting disc on each support post provides a fixing point for any horizontal ties to achieve the highest load force of the overall support system. It has been estimated that the total load using the temporary support system provided by the prior art is about 25.8%; whereas the total load using the height-adjustable jack and vertical modular component support with the present invention is about 51.25%.
