Abstract
A height adjusting structure for a desk is applied to adjust a height of a desktop which is connected with two first supporting tubes fitted with two second supporting tubes and contains: a through hole defined adjacent to a top end of each second supporting tube to expose each first supporting tube fitted in each second supporting tube; two adjustors arranged adjacent to two top ends of the two second supporting tubes. Preferably, one of the two adjustors has a swing lever disposed thereon to drive a driving gear and has a driven gear driven by the driving gear, and the other of the two adjustors has a driven gear fixed therein and simultaneously rotating with the driven gear of one of the two adjustors through a connecting rod.
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a height adjusting structure for a desk in which at least one driven gear of at least one adjustor is driven by a driving gear to simultaneously rotate through a connecting rod, and then the at least one driven gear movably engages with at least one toothed section of the at least one first supporting tube, thus adjusting a height of a desktop easily and stably.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A conventional fixed desk cannot be adjusted its height, so an adjustable desk has been developed. The adjustable desk contains two first supporting tubes, two second supporting tubes fitted with the two first supporting tubes, and two forcing bolts or two locking elements, wherein each of the two first supporting tubes has a plurality of positioning holes defined thereon so that one of the two forcing bolts or the two locking elements is inserted into one of the plurality of positioning holes to fix each first supporting tube and each second supporting tube and adjust a height of the desk.

However, in operation, a height of one of two sides of the desk is adjusted first, and then a height of the other of the two sides of the desk is adjusted or two heights of the two sides of the desk are adjusted simultaneously by two people, thus adjusting the height of the desk troublesomely.

Another conventional adjustable desk is adjusted its height by using two hydraulic cylinders mounted on two outer supporting tubes fitted with two inner supporting tubes. But the two hydraulic cylinders cannot be operated exactly and simultaneously to cause an inclination of a desktop. Furthermore, each hydraulic cylinder is manufactured at a high cost.

The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or obviate the afore-described disadvantages.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The primary object of the present invention is to provide a height adjusting structure for a desk in which at least one driven gear of at least one adjustor is driven by a driving gear to simultaneously rotate through a connecting rod, and then the at least one driven gear movably engages with at least one toothed section of the at least one first supporting tube, thus adjusting a height of a desktop easily and stably.

Another object of the present invention is to provide a height adjusting structure for a desk which is simplified and is manufactured at a low cost.

To obtain the above objects, a height adjusting structure for a desk of a first embodiment of the present invention is applied to adjust a height of a desktop which is connected with two first supporting tubes fitted with two second supporting tubes and contains: a through hole defined adjacent to a top end of each second supporting tube to expose each first supporting tube fitted in each second supporting tube; two adjustors arranged adjacent to two top ends of the two second supporting tubes. Preferably, one of the two adjustors has a swing lever disposed thereon to drive a driving gear and has a driven gear driven by the driving gear, and the other of the two adjustors has a driven gear fixed therein and simultaneously rotating with the driven gear of one of the two adjustors through a connecting rod, such that two driven gears of the two adjustors engage with two toothed sections of the two first supporting tubes, and after the swing lever is rotated clockwise or counterclockwise, the driving gear is driven by the swing lever to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise, then the two driven gears are driven to rotate simultaneously through the connecting rod and to movably engage with the two toothed sections of the two first supporting tubes, thus moving the two first supporting tubes upwardly and downwardly to adjust a height of the desktop.

In a second embodiment, a height adjusting structure for a desk is employed to adjust a height of a desktop which is connected with a first supporting tube fitted with a second supporting tube and contains: a through hole defined adjacent to a top end of the second supporting tube to expose the first supporting tube fitted in the second supporting tube; an adjustor arranged adjacent to a top end of the second supporting tube, wherein the adjustor has a swing lever disposed thereon to drive a driving gear and has a driven gear driven by the driving gear, and the driven gear movably engages with a toothed section of the first supporting tube, thereby adjusting a height of the desktop.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 6, a height adjusting structure for a desk according to a first embodiment of the present invention is applied to adjust a height of a desktop 10 which is connected with two first supporting tubes 20 fitted with two second supporting tubes 30, wherein the desktop 10 includes a frame 11 mounted on a bottom end thereof to connect with two top ends of the two first supporting tubes 20, and the two second supporting tubes 30 includes two holders 40 disposed on two bottom ends thereof Preferably, each holder 40 has two movable rollers 41 fixed on a bottom end thereof to move the desk. The height adjusting structure of the first embodiment comprises: a through hole 31 defined adjacent to a top end of each second supporting tube 30 to expose each first supporting tube 20 fitted in each second supporting tube 30; two adjustors 50 arranged adjacent to two top ends of the two second supporting tubes 30, wherein one of the two adjustors 50 has a swing lever 54 disposed thereon to drive a driving gear 51 and has a driven gear 52 driven by the driving gear 51, and the other of the two adjustors 50 has a driven gear 52 fixed therein and simultaneously rotating with the driven gear 52 of one of the two adjustors 50 through a connecting rod 53, such that two driven gears 52 of the two adjustors 50 engage with two toothed sections 21 of the two first supporting tubes 20, and after the swing lever 54 is rotated clockwise or counterclockwise, the driving gear 51 is driven by the swing lever 54 to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise, then the two driven gears 52 are driven to rotate simultaneously through the connecting rod 53 and to movably engage with the two toothed sections 21 of the two first supporting tubes 20, thus moving the two first supporting tubes 20 upwardly and downwardly to adjust the height of the desktop 10.

Since the two driven gears 52 of the two adjustors 50 are driven by the driving gear 51 to simultaneously rotate through the connecting rod 54, and then the two driven gears 52 movably engage with the two toothed sections 21 of the two first supporting tubes 20, thus adjusting the height of the desktop 10 easily. In addition, each toothed section 21 has plural predetermined piths to adjust the height of the desktop 10 accurately and stably.

Referring further to FIGS. 7 and 8, a height adjusting structure of a desk according to a second embodiment of the present invention is employed to adjust a height of a desktop 60 which is connected with a first supporting tube 61 fitted with a second supporting tube 62. The height adjusting structure of the desk comprises: an adjustor 63 arranged adjacent to a top end of the second supporting tube 62, wherein the adjustor 63 has a swing lever 64 disposed thereon to drive a driving gear (not shown) and has a driven gear (not shown) driven by the driving gear, and the driven gear movably engages with a toothed section 65 of the first supporting tube 61, thereby adjusting the height of the desktop 60 easily and securely.

Accordingly, each first supporting tube has the toothed section arranged thereon, and each adjustor is fixed on each second supporting tube and has the driving gear and the driven gear which rotates through the connecting rod and movably engages with the toothed section, thus adjust the height of the desktop stably and easily.

In other words, when the height adjusting structure is applied to adjust the height of the desktop which is connected with two first supporting tubes fitted with two second supporting tubes, the two driven gears rotate simultaneously through the connecting rod, after rotating the swing lever of one of the two adjustors, thus adjusting the height of the desktop easily. Preferably, the height adjusting structure is simplified and is manufactured at a low cost.
