Claims
- 1. A herbicidal composition for foliar treatment comprising as active ingredients,(a) a compound of the general formula: wherein R is C1-C7 alkyl, C5-C6 cycloalkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, dimethylamino, or diethylamino; and(b) a compound selected from the group consisting of 2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-ylcarbamoylsulfamoyl)-N,N-dimethylnicotinamide (nicosulfuron), 3-[4,6-bis(difluoromethoxy)pyrimidin-2-yl]-1-(2-methoxycarbonylphenylsulfonyl)urea (primisulfuron-methyl), 1-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)-3-(3-ethylsulfonyl-2-pyridylsulfonyl)urea(rimsulfuron), methyl 5-{[(4,6-dim ethoxy-2-pyrimidinyl)amino]carbonylaminosulfonyl}-3-chloro-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate (halosulfuron-methyl), N-(4-methoxy-6-methyltriazin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl-2-(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)-benzenesulfonamide(prosulfuron), methyl 3-[[[[(4-methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino]carbonyl]amino]sulfonyl]-2-thiophenecarboxylate (thifensulfuron-methyl), ethyl 2-[[[[(4-chloro-6-methoxy-2-pyrimidinyl)amino]carbonyl]amino]sulfonyl]benzoate (chlorimuron-ethyl), and 2-[[[[(4,6-dimethyl-2-pyrimidinyl)-amino]carbonyl]amino]sulfonyl]-benzoic acid, 3-oxetanyl ester (oxasulfuron).
- 2. The herbicidal composition for foliar treatment according to claim 1, wherein the weight ratio of component (a) to component (b) is 1:0.2 to 20.
- 3. The herbicidal composition for foliar treatment according to claim 1 or 2, wherein component (a) is compound [1] in which R is C1-C7 alkyl, C5-C6 cycloalkyl, or C2-C6 alkenyl, and component (b) is nicosulfuron, primisulfuron-methyl, rimsulfuron, halosulfuron-methyl, prosulfuron, or thifensulfuron-methyl.
- 4. The herbicidal composition for foliar treatment according to claim 1 or 2, wherein component (a) is compound [1] in which R is dimethylamino or diethylamino, and component (b) is nicosulfuron, primisulfuron-methyl, rimsulfuron, halosulfuron-methyl, prosulfuron, or thifensulfuron-methyl.
- 5. The herbicidal composition for foliar treatment according to claim 1 or 2, wherein component (a) is compound [1] in which R is C1-C7 alkyl, C5-C6 cycloalkyl, or C2-C6 alkenyl, and component (b) is thifensulfuron-methyl or chlorimuron-ethyl.
- 6. The herbicidal composition for foliar treatment according to claim 1 or 2, wherein component (a) is compound [1] in which R is dimethylamino or diethylamino, and component (b) is thifensulfuron-methyl or chlorimuron-ethyl.
- 7. The herbicidal composition for foliar treatment according to claim 1 or 2, wherein component (b) is oxasulfuron.
- 8. A weeding method comprising foliar treatment of weeds with a herbicidal composition containing as active ingredients,(a) a compound of the general formula: wherein R is C1-C7 alkyl, C5-C6 cycloalkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl, dimethylamino, or diethylamino; and(b) a compound selected from the group consisting of 2-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-ylcarbamoylsulfamoyl)-N,N-dimethylnicotinamide (nicosulfuron), 3-[4,6-bis(difluoromethoxy)pyrimidin-2-yl]-1-(2-methoxycarbonylphenylsulfonyl)urea (primisulfuron-methyl), 1-(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)-3-(3-ethylsulfonyl-2-pyridylsulfonyl)urea(rimsulfuron), methyl 5-{[(4,6-dimethoxy-2-pyrimidinyl)amino]carbonylaminosulfonyl}-3-chloro-1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylate (halosulfuron-methyl), N-(4-methoxy-6-methyltriazin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl-2-(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)-benzenesulfonamide(prosulfuron), methyl 3-[[[[(4-methoxy-6-methyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)amino]carbonyl]amino]sulfonyl]-2-thiophenecarboxylate(thifensulfuron-methyl), ethyl 2-[[[[(4-chloro-6-methoxy-2-pyrimidinyl)amino]carbonyl]amino]sulfonyl]benzoate (chlorimuron-ethyl), and 2-[[[[(4,6-dimethyl-2-pyrimidinyl)-amino]carbonyl]amino]sulfonyl]-benzoic acid, 3-oxetanyl ester (oxasulfuron).
- 9. The weeding method according to claim 8, wherein the total amount of component (a) and component (b) is 5 to 500 g/ha.
- 10. The weeding method according to claim 8 or 9, wherein component (a) is compound [1] in which R is C1-C7 alkyl, C5-C6 cycloalkyl, or C2-C6 alkenyl, and component (b) is nicosulfuron, primisulfuron-methyl, rimsulfuron, halosulfuron-methyl, prosulfuron, or thifensulfuron-methyl.
- 11. The weeding method according to claim 10, wherein the herbicidal composition is applied to the weeds in corn fields.
- 12. The weeding method according to claim 8 or 9, wherein component (a) is compound [1] in which R is dimethylamino or diethylamino, and component (b) is nicosulfuron, primisulfuron-methyl, rimsulfuron, halosulfuron-methyl, prosulfuron, or thifensulfuron-methyl.
- 13. The weeding method according to claim 12, wherein the herbicidal composition is applied to the weeds in corn fields.
- 14. The weeding method according to claim 8 or 9, wherein component (a) is compound [1] in which R is C1-C7 alkyl, C5-C6 cycloalkyl, or C2-C6 alkenyl, and component (b) is thifensulfuron-methyl or chlorimuron-ethyl.
- 15. The weeding method according to claim 14, wherein the herbicidal composition is applied to the weeds in soybean fields.
- 16. The weeding method according to claim 8 or 9, wherein component (a) is compound [1] in which R is dimethylamino or diethylamino, and component (b) is thifensulfuron-methyl or chlorimuron-ethyl.
- 17. The weeding method according to claim 16, wherein the herbicidal composition is applied to the weeds in soybean fields.
- 18. The weeding method according to claim 8 or 9, wherein component (b) is oxasulfuron.
- 19. The weeding method according to claim 18, wherein the herbicidal composition is applied to the weeds in soybean fields.
- 20. The weeding method according to claim 8 or 9, wherein the weight ratio of component (a) to component (b) is 1:0.2 to 20.
