Claims
- 1. A sulphonylaminocarbonyltriazolinone having two substituents bonded via oxygen, of the formula ##STR209## in which R.sup.1 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylcarbonyl and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkinyl, or represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkinyl each of which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine and bromine, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl or C.sub.4 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkenyl, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl or C.sub.4 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkenyl each of which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, or represents phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, or phenyl C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl,
- R.sup.2 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkinyl, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkenyl or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -alkinyl each of which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine and bromine, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, or C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, or represents cyclohexenyl, or represents phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl, or phenyl-C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkyl which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, trifluoromethyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl,
- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR210## where R.sup.15 and R.sup.16 are identical or different and represent hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, nitro, cyano, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl (which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine and chlorine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy (which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine, and chlorine), or represent C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphinyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl (which are unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine and chlorine), or represent aminosulphonyl, mono-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-aminosulphonyl, or represent di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-aminosulphonyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxycarbonyl or dimethylaminocarbonyl;
- furthermore
- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR211## where R.sup.17 and R.sup.18 each independently represents hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl (which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine and bromine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy (which is unsubstituted or substituted by fluorine and/or chlorine), or represent C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphinyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl (which are unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine and chlorine), or represent di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-amino-sulphonyl;
- furthermore
- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR212## where R.sup.19 and R.sup.20 each independently represents hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl (which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine and chlorine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy (which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine and chlorine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylthio, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphinyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkylsulphonyl (which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine and chlorine), di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-amino-sulphonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl or dimethyl-aminocarbonyl, and
- A represents oxygen, sulphur or the group N--Z.sup.1, where
- Z.sup.1 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl (which is unsubstituted or substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine or cyano), C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, benzyl, phenyl (which is unsubstituted or substituted by fluorine, chlorine, bromine or nitro), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-carbonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl or di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)-aminocarbonyl; chlorine, bromine or nitro), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-carbonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl-carboxy-carbonyl or di-(C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl)aminocarbonyl;

- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR213## where R.sup.21 and R.sup.22 each independently represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, halogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -halogenoalkoxy,
- Y.sup.1 represents sulphur or the group N--R.sup.23, where
- R.sup.23 represents hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl;

- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR214## where R.sup.24 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, benzyl, pyridyl, quinolinyl or phenyl,
- R.sup.25 represents hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl (which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine and chlorine), C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy (which is unsubstituted or substituted by one or more of fluorine and chlorine), dioxolanyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy-carbonyl, and
- R.sup.26 represents hydrogen halogen, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl;
- or
- R.sup.3 represents ##STR215## or a salt thereof.
- 2. A compound according to claim 1, or a salt thereof, in which
- R.sup.1 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, cyano, methoxy and ethoxy, or represents allyl, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, or represents benzyl,
- R.sup.2 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, methoxy and ethoxy, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl, or C.sub.3 -C.sub.4 -alkenyl which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine and chlorine, or represents C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 -cycloalkyl, or represents benzyl, or benzyl which is substituted by one or more members selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine and methyl,
- R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR216## where R represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl, or R.sup.3 represents the radical ##STR217## where R represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl.
- 3. The method according to claim 1, wherein such compound is 2-(2-methoxycarbonyl-thien-3-yl-sulphonylaminocarbonyl)-4-methoxy-5-ethoxy-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one, 2-(2-methoxycarbonyl-thien-3-yl-sulphonylaminocarbonyl)-4,5-dimethoxy -2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one, or 2-(2-methoxycarbonyl-thien -3-yl-sulphonylaminocarbonyl)-4-ethoxy-5-methoxy-2,4-dihydro-3H -1,2,4-triazol-3-one,
- or a salt thereof.
- 4. A compound according to claim 1, wherein such compound is 2-(2-methoxycarbonyl-thien-3-yl-sulphonylaminocarbonyl)-4-methoxy -5-ethoxy-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one of the formula ##STR218## or a salt thereof.
- 5. A compound according to claim 1, wherein such compound is 2-(2-methoxy-carbonyl-thien-3-yl-sulphonylaminocarbonyl)-4,5-dimethoxy-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one of the formula ##STR219## or a salt thereof.
- 6. A compound according to claim 1, wherein such compound is 2-(2-methoxy-carbonyl-thien-3-yl-sulphonylaminocarbonyl)-4-ethoxy -5-methoxy-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazol-3-one of the formula ##STR220## or a salt thereof.
- 7. A herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally effective amount of a compound or salt thereof according to claim 1 and a diluent.
- 8. A method of combating unwanted vegetation which comprises applying to such vegetation or to a locus from which it is desired to exclude such vegetation a herbically effective amount of a compound or a salt thereof according to claim 1.
