The disclosure and prior art relates to bibs and more particularly pertains to a new bib for keeping a baby and high chair clean while eating.
An embodiment of the disclosure meets the needs presented above by generally comprising a bib body having an outer side, an inner side, a left edge, a right edge, a bottom edge, and a top edge. The left edge, right edge, and the bottom edge define a lower portion. The top edge has a right arm cutout adjacent the right edge, a left arm cutout adjacent the left edge, and a neck portion extending between the right arm cutout and the left arm cutout. The neck portion has a head aperture extending therethrough. The inner side is a soft material and the outer side is a waterproof material. A plurality of first chair mating members is coupled to the inner side of the bib body adjacent the bottom edge, the left edge, and the right edge. A plurality of second chair mating members is configured to be coupled to a pair of arms and a table of a high chair. The plurality of second chair mating members is selectively engageable with the plurality of first chair mating members.
There has thus been outlined, rather broadly, the more important features of the disclosure in order that the detailed description thereof that follows may be better understood, and in order that the present contribution to the art may be better appreciated. There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.
The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.
The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:
With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to
As best illustrated in
A plurality of first chair mating members 48 is coupled to the inner side 16 of the bib body adjacent the bottom edge 22, the left edge 18, and the right edge 20. The plurality of first chair mating members 48 may comprise at least three mating members 48 adjacent the bottom edge 22, at least one mating member 48 adjacent the left edge 18 proximal the left arm cutout 30, and at least one mating member 48 adjacent the right edge 20 proximal the right arm cutout 28. A plurality of second chair mating members 50 is configured to be coupled to a pair of arms 52 and a table 54 of a high chair 56. The plurality of second chair mating members 50 is selectively engageable with the plurality of first chair mating members 48 to form a protective barrier preventing the child and a seat 58 of the high chair 56 from being spilled on.
Each of the first 40 and second 42 neck mating members and the first 48 and second 50 chair mating members comprises a hook and loop fastener or other type of releasable fastener such as, but not limited to, buttons, snaps, and the like.
In use, the first 40 and second 42 neck mating members are joined to engage the first strap 36 and the second strap 38 around the child's neck with the outer side 14 facing out. The first chair mating members 48 are then engaged to the second chair mating members 50 which have been installed on the high chair 56. When done eating, the apparatus 10 is removed and the outer side 14 may be washed.
With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.
Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
