Claims
- 1. An integrally formed hollow blow molded article made of thermoplastic resin, comprising:a first wall and a second wall confronting across a spacing, an integral rib between said first wall and said second wall, wherein said integral rib comprises a flat rib projecting from said second wall to said first wall, said flat rib comprising a first thermoplastic wall surface extending from said second wall and a second thermoplastic wall surface extending from said second wall, said first and second wall surfaces fused so as to form a substantially unitary thermoplastic rib, disposed substantially perpendicular to said second wall, said flat rib having first and second side ends, and a pair of hollow ribs, said hollow ribs integrally disposed along said first and second side ends of said flat rib, said hollow ribs extending from said second wall to said first wall, wherein-said flat rib and said hollow ribs are fused to an inner side of said first wall.
- 2. The hollow blow molded article according to claim 1, wherein said hollow rib is tapered with a more narrow portion at said first wall.
- 3. The hollow blow molded article according to claim 1, wherein said integral rib is disposed along a longitudinal direction of said hollow article.
- 4. The hollow blow molded article according to claim 1, wherein a plurality of said integral ribs are disposed at a mutual spacing.
- 5. The hollow blow molded article according to claim 1, wherein said hollow article is an automobile component.
- 6. An integrally formed hollow blow molded article made of thermoplastic resin, comprising:a first wall and a second wall confronting across a spacing, blow molded integral rib disposed between said first wall and said second wall, wherein said integral rib comprises a first flat rib projecting from said first wall to a fusion portion and having first and second side ends, a first pair of hollow ribs oppositely disposed on each of said first and second side ends of said first flat rib, and extending from said first wall to said fusion portion, a second flat rib projecting from said second wall to said fusion portion and having first and second side ends, a second pair of hollow ribs oppositely disposed on each of said first and second side ends of said second flat rib, and extending from said second wall to said fusion portion, wherein said first flat rib and said second flat rib are fused to each other at said fusion portion, and wherein said first pair of hollow ribs and said second pair of hollow ribs are fused to each other at said fusion portion.
- 7. The hollow blow molded article according to claim 6, wherein said first hollow rib arid said second hollow rib form a combined concave hollow rib.
- 8. The hollow blow molded article according to claim 6, wherein said integral rib is disposed along a longitudinal direction of said hollow article.
- 9. The hollow blow molded article according to claim 6, wherein a plurality of said integral ribs are disposed at a mutual spacing.
- 10. An integrally formed hollow structure with an inner rib, comprising:a closed blow molded structure having a first wall, a second wall, a first side wall and a second side wall, wherein said first side wall is opposingly disposed from said second side wall and said first wall is opposingly disposed front said second wall, a blow molded thermoplastic integral rib disposed between said first wall and said second wall, wherein said integral rib comprises a thermoplastic flat rib projecting from said second wall to said find wall, said flat rib formed from a first wall surface and a second wall surface each from said second wall fused into a unitary thermoplastic member, and wherein said flat rib has a first and second side ends, and a pair of hollow ribs integrally disposed along said first and second side ends of said flat rib, said hollow ribs extending from said second wall to said first wall, and wherein said flat rib and said hollow ribs are fused to an inner surface of said first wall.
