Claims
- 1. A disposable bed pad comprising an absorbent core encased in a liquid permeable nonwoven sheeting, wherein substantially the entire surface of the nonwoven sheeting which is in direct contact with the bottom surface of the absorbent core is coated with a water insoluble or water impermeable hot melt adhesive thereby providing a leakage resistant barrier.
- 2. The article bed pad of claim 1, wherein the adhesive is coated on the side of the nonwoven which will directly contact the absorbent core and there is additionally coated on the hot melt adhesive, a super-absorbent powder or film.
