Claims
- 1. A DNA molecule consisting of DNA encoding amino acids 1-191 of human growth hormone.
- 2. A DNA molecule consisting of DNA encoding methionine joined to the 5'-terminus of DNA encoding amino acids 1-191 of human growth hormone.
- 3. A DNA molecule comprising DNA encoding amino acids 1-191 of human growth hormone joined to DNA encoding an amino acid sequence that is specifically cleavable so as to permit extracellular cleavage of human growth hormone, unaccompanied by its leader sequence or other extraneous protein, from a proteolysis-resistant conjugate after expression of said conjugate.
- 4. A DNA molecule comprising the DNA molecule of claim 3 inserted into a replicable cloning vehicle.
- 5. The DNA molecule of claim 4 wherein the replicable cloning vehicle is a bacterial plasmid.
