Claims
- 1. A thermoplastic polymer which is characterized by a recurring monomeric unit corresponding to the formula: ##STR11## where R is a substituent selected from hydrogen and C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl groups; and m is an integer of at least 3.
- 2. A thermoplastic polymer in accordance with claim 1 wherein R is hydrogen.
- 3. A thermoplastic polymer in accordance with claim 1 wherein R is methyl.
- 4. A thermoplastic polymer in accordance with claim 1 wherein the polymer has a weight average molecular weight between about 500-500,000.
- 5. A thermoplastic polymer in accordance with claim 1 wherein the recurring monomeric units comprise at least about 20 weight percent of the total polymer weight.
- 6. A thermoplastic polymer in accordance with claim 1 wherein the polymer additionally is characterized by recurring polymerized ethylene monomeric units.
- 7. A thermoplastic polymer in accordance with claim 1 wherein the polymer additionally is characterized by recurring polymerized vinyl halide monomeric units.
- 8. A thermoplastic polymer in accordance with claim 1 wherein the polymer additionally is characterized by recurring polymerized arylethylene monomeric units.
- 9. A thermoplastic polymer in accordance with claim 1 wherein the polymer additionally is characterized by recurring polymerized acrylamide, methacrylamide, N,N-dialkylacrylamide or N,N-dialkylmethacrylamide monomeric units.
- 10. A thermoplastic polymer in accordance with claim 1 wherein the polymer additionally is characterized by recurring polymerized acrylonitrile or methacrylonitrile monomeric units.
- 11. A thermoplastic polymer which is characterized by recurring monomeric units corresponding to the formula: ##STR12##
