Claims
- 1. A composition of matter prepared by reacting at least one phosphorus compound of the formula ##STR5##wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a lower alkyl-based radical, with at least one epoxide of the formula ##STR6##wherein R.sup.3 is an alkyl radical having 10-20 carbon atoms.
- 2. A composition according to claim 1 wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a lower alkyl radical.
- 3. A composition according to claim 2 wherein the epoxide is derived from a commercial mixture of C.sub.14 and C.sub.16 straight chain .alpha.-olefins.
- 4. A composition according to claim 3 wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are n-butyl radicals.
- 5. A composition of matter consisting essentially of at least one compound of the formula ##STR7##wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a lower alkyl-based radical and R.sup.3 is an alkyl radical having 10-20 carbon atoms.
- 6. A composition according to claim 5 wherein each of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 is a lower alkyl radical.
- 7. A composition according to claim 6 wherein R.sup.3 is a mixture of C.sub.12 and C.sub.14 straight chain alkyl groups.
- 8. A composition according to claim 7 wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are n-butyl radicals.
