Claims
- 1. A compound denominated hydroxyphenstatin and having the structure shown below:
- 2. A compound for inhibiting the growth of cells afflicted with neoplastic disease comprising X-hydroxyphenstatin diphosphate wherein “X” is selected from the group consisting of sodium, lithium, potassium and calcium.
- 3. A method of treating cells afflicted with a neoplastic disease to inhibit the growth of said cells comprising: administering to said cells an effective amount of an active ingredient selected from the group consisting of hydroxyphenstatin and X-hydroxyphenstatin diphosphate wherein “X” is selected from sodium, calcium, lithium and potassium in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
- 4. A method according to claim 3 in which said carrier comprises an aqueous solution.
